Armaros

Armaros is the first of a series of battles where the weak point is the key to victory. He can be very tough if facing him for the first time.

The main strategy is to relentlessly attack its right side in order to destroy its shell as fast as possible and afterwards crush Armaros's weak point with Faize's Earth Glaive, Edge's Rising Blade, and Reimi's Sonic Thorn.

One possible strategy is to use Edge to blindside Armaros when it's about to attack, leaving Reimi and Faize on the background to keep attacking him, preserving the Blindside status as long as possible before your attack combos are over.

Another strategy is to have Faize lure Armaros so his shell can be exposed to Edge and Reimi, and then set him on manual control while switching to Edge, so he can get in attack strings on Armaros's shell. Try to keep Armaros targetting Faize as long as possible by charging Rush Mode, so Armaros targets Faize.

When it draws its shell, keep your main strategy, but unleash all of your Special Arts and Faize's spell, to which Armaros has a natural elemental weakness.

When the shell is "broken", he'll start swinging it around wildly as a weapon, adding this to his initial moveset. He also gains Electric Smash, which is his strongest attack. Focus your attacks on the exposed "core", its weak-point. This will deal much more damage than usual (0-30 HP to 30-200+ HP)

Barachiel

This battle is easier than Armaros but still hard. It has a high defense so physical attacks aren't very effective but can still be used. Its attacks aren't too painful so keeping close isn't a danger. Special Arts and Spells are recommended as they do the most damage and its defense doesn't block much of it out. Its attacks are mainly flying attacks that crash on the party below. They aren't very effective and the party shouldn't be too badly hurt. It also has several blast attacks. This battle shouldn't take too long if you are correctly leveled, so just keep up the Special Attacks. Health isn't much of an issue but Heal where necessary with Lymle if you become critical. Barachiel happens to have a weak spot on his lower back. It is not visible while he is flying, but is briefly exposed when he is using either Dragon Tornado or Freezing Circle, both of which involve him slamming into the ground and creating a shockwave. Use a powerful character like Edge or Reimi to deal large amounts of damage.

Barachiel is able to absorb water attacks, so disable Faize's Ice Needles before engaging. It also has a resistance to earth attacks. Its weakness is fire, so equip Edge with a Flame Sword and Reimi with a Torch Bow.

The main thing to remember here is, when he slams into the ground, that's your cue to run behind him, (or blindside him) and let rip with your best skills. He wont stay there for long, so get round there and pummel him.

Sahariel

Sahariel is a large dragon like beast with some perks. Its attacks aren't too damaging against you. It uses physical attacks and some blast attacks. When you are close it use its clawed arm swipes or bites. It can throw you into the air as well and attack while airborn. If you are behind it swipes with its tail. Defeating Sahariel isn't that difficult as you don't lose much health and its defense isn't brillaint. Just attack physically with Specials and combos and other physical attacks. Sahariel happens to have a weak spot on his lower chest which isn't visible at the start of the battle. Sahariel revelas it when he rears back to perform certain attacks. Use skills like Edge's Stampede Slash if you have it to interrupt Sahariel's attack and deal more damage. Have others use Symbology and Heal with Lymle; or Edge if you removed her. Bacchus comes in handy with his enormous health and powerful attacks, particularly his Galvanic Shock. If you continue to attack it, it will eventually deplete all of its health. Heal where necessary and there may be some incapacitations but very few.

Tamiel

Tamiel appears as a man in robes with a staff. He is constantly surround by henchmen which are easily defeated by Edge or Bacchus, as their strong attacks are good against the henchmen's low HP. Tamiel's main attacks are aerial symbology attacks, like orbs or a shroud of darkness which follows the player. His attacks are powerful, particularly his laser attack which deals around 1500+. The party needs to remain healed or one death could lose the whole battle. His defense is quite high and physical attacks don't do a lot of damage. The key to the battle is to keep a constant flow of attacks so he doesn't have a chance to counter. Having Bacchus use Force Breaker and Irradiation are a good combo to use against him. Edge's combos are also effective against him. Another key point is that you have to be levelled, if you are low levelled then it will be very hard to defeat him. His attacks do a lot of damage so you need a lot of health and powerful attacks to counter his. if you have any EM bombs, towards the end of the battle use them as they deal 2500 damage and could be the finishing blow.

Armaros Manifest

This boss is very tough and possibly one of the hardest of the game so far. However using a certain strategy can make it easy for underlevelled players. Armaros Manifest has several attacks: Aerial and ground attacks, down strikes and Stone Rain. It can summon 5 minions at a time, which should be dispatched as fast as possible when summoned. Arumat is very effective agaisnt these. As for Armaros Manifest, blindside it when it's about to pounce you and spam Special Arts on its core at the tail, preferrably with Bacchus' Galvanic Shock.

Kokabiel

Kokabiel will normally be a long battle due to its high defence and Blindsiding doesn't help much. The best characters to use are Meracle with Ripper Pounce and Claws of Fury Chained, and Arumat with Diabolic Edge and Bloodstorm Revolution Chained. Due to their large-area and multiple-hits. 4 of the Kokabiel Spawns will be invincible throughout the battle, first kill off the 4 other Spawns around each of the 4 Invincible Spawns then start attacking Kokabiel with normal attacks, when Kokabiel gets an orange sphere around it, use Meracle/Arumat's specials constantly, after a while the 4 Spawns that surround each Invincible Spawn will appear again, just kill the Surround Spawns and the battle cycles, keep doing this through the whole battle and eventually Kokabiel will fall.

Apostle of Creation

In battle, the Apostle fights with his gargantuan blade. He starts off somewhat slow, but gradually picks up as his HP is depleted by warping around the battlefield to attack characters. He has a resistance to dark attacks and a weakness to light ones. Most of his strikes begin with a line of dialogue telegraphing the type of strike.

"Witness the quintessence of my catastrophic powers": a wide circular strike.
"Away with your pointless ostentation": an attack straight ahead.
"Be destroyed": a wide-area energy field attack used when his HP is low.

Satanail

Satanail is the final main boss and is fought immediately after the battle with the Apostle of Creation.
There's not a specific strategy for Satainail.
