Attention!: This map uses game assets from Counter Strike: Source. To experience this map fully I highly recommend picking it up.

An update to the nearly 5 year old map TTT_Whitehouse_V9[garrysmods.org]. With this update I wanted to stay true to the original map layout and features only fixing bugs, performance issues, and a few minor gameplay issues.

A little over a year ago I had gotten in contact with Jackal Warwick (Original author of the ttt_whitehouse maps) and had asked if it was alright to update the Whitehouse maps and share them with you all. The map now sports a new coat of paint in some areas, HDR lighting, proper cubemapping for reflective textures, working shadows and a number of bug fixes.

Unlike the original version (TTT_Whitehouse) the only updates I'm likely to make to this map will be bug fixes, visual, and optimization related. This version of Whitehouse solves a good number of issues the original map had and I don't feel there needs changes to the layout, or additions. That being said, let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions, or if I happened to have missed something. I'd love to hear from you!

Easter-egg free version:
I understand that some communities would prefer maps without easter-egg like features on maps as it can distract from the game going on. I've taken the time to remove the easter egg involving a couple hidden buttons.

There's this safe beneath the staircase that is inaccessible and has nods to other maps and the original ttt_whitehouse map.

There's also this multi-step process to unlock a door across from one of the utility closets. In order to do so you have to go down to the basement, press a button, go back to the elevator and press a button that became available, go back to the other button to find the two hatches that opened. Take the controller like thing back upstairs, press e on the phone next to the door across from the utility closet and put the controller in there to open the door.

nope, full on the default dusk cubemap for me. it's not just some props.

Removed everything relating to the map from my Gmod and CSS directories and they're still there for me.

If you mean how some props have this obnoxious shine to them that's from only adding HDR. When updating I forgot you had to also run LDR, been on my to-do list to fix but I've yet to get around to it.

delete/move your map from the maps folder and check the workshop's version
it probably didn't pack in the cubemaps

That's something I'd like to do but I'm not even sure what I'd do to get the door to open, and what I'd even put down there to make it even somewhat worthwhile for someone to even go through the trouble of getting it open
