General EDF IA tips
By Battleman_tot
Here are some very useful tips that I think everyone should know.
Most are taken from the wiki and others I found out myself.
I hope this guide helps!

Classes
Battle
Battle is the tankiest class in the game. He can withstand a lot of punishment and dish out a lot of damage. He is the literal definition of a walking tank.

  • You are not invincible, don't go head on into danger thinking that you are immortal.
  • You are really, and I mean really slow, so you won't be able to dodge most of the attacks.
  • Use your shield wisely! Your zap ability is very good versus those small orange ticks and your pulse wave ability is good when you are surrounded or when your shield is about to go down (It doesn't matter whether you have 100% or 1% shield left, it's always the same damage).
  • Another thing about the shield is that even if you have 1% left it will still block a whole attack without you taking any damage from said attack. (it doesn't work on enemy's piercing abilities, those still damage you and knock you back)

Jetpack
Speed is key! - A wise youtuber.
This class has the lowest amount of HP, but his weaponry consists of some really powerful bug-killing guns.
And he also has a jetpack, yay!

  • This is the most mobile class in the game, yet the most fragile one. So use those dodging skills like there is no tomorrow.
  • You can dodge mid-air, but it's very energy consuming, so use it wisely.
  • All of your weapons require energy to reload so don't go flying for too long or you won't be able to fire at all!
  • If you are skilled enough you can go for those fast reloads in order to save energy!

Tactical
Medium armor, medium speed and turrets!

  • You can place turrets atop the radar, giving it a higher vantage point.
  • Anyone can stand on top of a turret, and get a similar vantage point.
  • Mines are very powerful, especially when they are placed in groups.
  • Don't be afraid to cancel and re-deploy the turret. Since you can only have one, it makes sense to move it to where it's needed at the moment.
  • Your weapons aren't the most powerful, so you rely on your turrets for damage.
  • Your turrets and mines might steal your XP points when they kill something. (not confirmed)

Trooper
Like tactical but no turrets and normal speed.

  • Faster than Battle and Tactical classes, but slower than Jetpack.
  • Weapons are the key to this class. Check out which ones are the most devastating.
  • The best starter armour as there are no advantages or disadvantages. (also no gimmicks)

There might be more updates to this section!
Bosses
Carriers
  • They spawn an infinite amount of enemies until destroyed.
  • You can hit the darker red spot in their back and still do normal damage when their holes are open. (The same applies to Daddy long legs)

Hectors
Small Hector
  • The small Hector's main armor is very strong and immune to small arms fire (i.e. assault rifles, shotguns, Mech/Turret chainguns, etc.) except for the red glowing parts on the chest, but explosive weapons like rockets, missiles, and vehicle cannons can damage Hectors no matter where they hit. Auto-lock and manual-lock weapons will track several valid 'sub targets' on the Hector, ensuring they can deal full damage to it.
  • They can and will stomp over you if you stand under them.
  • When Hectors are badly damaged, they will stop to make a sort of roar or howl of rage, and will begin to attack more aggressively afterwards.

Big Hector
  • On occasion, he may stop to attack buildings with its energy mortars or beam cannon instead of attacking EDF troops, sometimes going as far to ignore multiple troops firing upon it to knock down a small and irrelevant structure.
  • Never stand near it's shockwave ability it does a tremendous amount of damage even on normal difficulty!
  • The big Hector is completely invincible to all weaponry unless they are aimed at the "weak" spot on the chest, auto-seeking projectiles will lock onto this spot, as will manual-lock launchers.
  • He explodes in a blinding flash when he is defeated, and can badly hurt anyone caught in the blast radius.
  • He will stagger and raise his arms to protect his "weak" spot when his health sinks below a certain point.

Praying Mantis
  • It has the same health as a Bomber spider.
  • Try to never stay near them. A lot of their attacks involve slicing at you from close range.
  • Upon death it has a very dangerous explosion that does a lot of damage and can knock out all light-medium classes.
  • Unlike every other ''boss'' the Mantis can be shot anywhere on it's body and it will still take damage.

As for the edit, I can't understand what you want me to edit in, most of the things you mentioned are already in the guide.
