Late but thank youva million. This helped me understand things quite clearly.

Now I can rip some mechs a new one with a army of SRM6 and Gauss Rifles.

I found a way to make all the items appear in the shops, you need to edit the SimGameConstant.json and edit max shop inventory from 50 to 200. This way you don't need luck for some items you want to show up. Cost for each is still hard though, so I increased resale value in the same json. I'm happily rocking my 4SRM6 SLDF Griffin in the single player now.

Got it, thanks. I'd heard that but hadn't had much luck in making them show up in shops. Then I copypasta'd the new code into the actual .json file specific to the Shop on Smithon and there they were. All is right with the world.

@Sluigi, Any new assets you make will need to be added to the file VersionManifest.csv. Which is found BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data

I want to add a custom weapon to the game, I should be able to follow similar steps to make that show up in the shops, right?

Also, lending my voice to the rest saying that the Gauss Rifles do in fact appear in the shops if you follow SpEcIAL's instructions. I have some mounted on my mechs as we speak.

Did anyone manage to get tanks working? I've been messing around some more and can't get them to work
