Welcome to the drifting guide
Hi everyone! I playing this game about 120 hours already and think here is time to share my experience with you guys. One of the most important things to have top score is manual gear, start getting used to it if you have not used it before. My control device is keyboard btw. Okay, talk less and do more.

Gameplay basics
Stars
Stars is an indicator of your speed and angle, more speed and angle = more stars.
More stars = more points from clippings and regular drifting.

Reputation
You get more reputation points if you win your rival, 1 rival = 2rep points, 3 is max count of rivals for ghost race and 4 for online lobby. So if you win at ghost race you can get max 6RP and if online - 8RP. Reputation points does not affect to any aspect of the game for now.

Tandem
Tandem indicator multiplies your score. Get closer to another car and you will get more points from regular drift, but tandem does not multiplies points from clippings.
Settings which i never change
Engine, suspension, steering, transmission, weight reduction, body stiffness - all maxed out.
Engine swap - sr20. (btw, every engine differently affects on the weight balance of the car, so if you want another engine - you need to adjust your weight balance settings)
Engine stage - 5.
Tires - Drift Legend.
Front camber - +5°.
Rear camber - 0.

Gearbox:
  • Final drive - 2,84
  • 1 - 4,90
  • 2 - 3,00
  • 3 - 2,50
  • 4 - 2,10
  • 5 - 1,70
  • 6 - 1,40

For me there is two different basic types of setup based on tires grip. Lets start from pluses and minuses of each of them.
First type of setup (my main setup, im using it 100% of time)
Lot of grip:
+High speed
+Fast acceleration
+Stable steering
-Slow transitions (toe settings neutralizes this minus on current build)
-Sometimes car resists to initiate drift

Car settings for first setup:
  • Rear wheels type: Ultra regular
  • Front wheels type: Super stretched
  • Tires pressure: front - maxed PSI, rear - lowest PSI.
  • Gearbox: use your own if you want.
  • Weight balance: 50%/50%. (explanation: 50/50 - max grip, slow transitions. 60/40 - lowest grip, superfast transitions, but i dont advice to use it.)
  • Ride height: rear - lowest value, front - 5-6mm higher than rear.
  • Front toe - +4. (fast transitions)
  • Rear toe - +4. (will let you hold bigger angles)
  • Force: 100%. (more force - more grip)
  • Differential lock: diff power - 1%, diff coast - 0% (pushes your car forward more effеctively by this setup. Lower values - better pushing. Set higher values or leave them by default if it pushes you too hard inside of the turn)
  • What i didnt mentioned is set by default.
Second type of setup (for max angle)
Less grip:
+Fast transitions
+Huge angle
+Drift can be easely initiated
-More sensitive steering (you decide minus this or not)
-Slow acceleration

Car setting for second setup:
  • Rear wheels type: Ultra Regular
  • Front wheels type: Ultra Regular.
  • Tires pressure: front - maxed PSI, rear - lowest.
  • Gearbox: use your own if you want.
  • Weight balance: 60%/40%. (affects to the speed of transitions)
  • Ride height: rear - lowest value, front - 5-6mm higher than rear.
  • Force: 80%.
  • Differential lock: diff power - 1%, diff coast - 0%. (pushes your car forward more effectively by this setup. Lower values - better pushing. Set higher values or leave them by default if it pushes you too hard inside of the turn)
  • Also you can experiment with tires, between D Sport or Drift Legend for more or less grip.
  • What i didnt mentioned is set by default.

Just try those two setups for few races each and you will see the difference.
And dont forget to experimenting. There can be mixed combinations of settings.
Its all about practice, practice more and you will get success.
Example of my driving
How to earn max championship score.

(My first setup is most common on every track for this update, so this section is not actual for now.)
Choose track, choose car, set up your car.

Pushes your car forward more effectively. 1-0 Adds a lot of grip to the tires. Try to initiate drift at hight speed at one choosen section (better with the walls) about 10-15 times to get used to 1-0 and after this set up 100-100 diff settings. You will understand everything :)

I just don't get the Diff settings... 1% and 0%. I've tried over and over and it REALLY messes the car up for me personally... Could you shed some light on why you use those settings? Thanks in advance.
