First of all you need to get the "Shaftlocke Pickaxe" from the shop. To achieve that I bind a console command to a random key:

open console and enter

bind f2 kill

This will let you kill yourself in your village with a klick of a button (F2 in this case)
So start a game and run to the shop. Buy the "Shaftlocke Pickaxe".







If it is not available press F2 and start over until you got it.

Afterwards run to the fountain and give it some tries. You want to have as many "horribles" as possible. This makes the maps larger and treasures often drop orbs instead of items.

If you find shops try to get the items that give you more gold. They also help a lot on your way.
