Don't tell anyone you have the antidote: It may sound like something you would want to do to make people trust you more, but it really just paints a blood red target on your back, the infected expect their prey to stay dead and that make you top priority.

Don't run unless necessary: when running it shows the infected where you are, the only time I would recommend running is 10 - 15 seconds before the infected become enraged, so be smart and fly under the radar.

Keep your ears open: if you hear anything suspicious the you should always tell your teammates, but never tell them where you heard it because the infected will target you because they now know your location

Don't be an idiot: this one is pretty basic but almost nobody know about it, so don't chase a infected suspect with 20 seconds left, don't place a tracker on somebody the second you get it, call out people stealing items and if somebody does call out that they have the antidote then guard them with your life, they can always bring you back.

talk: people who talk in voice chat are able to get a better standing with the rest of the players, so you can walk unhindered by their skepticism.

manipulate the followers: once you gain their trust be sure they are the last one alive, they are normally not that great at the game and they make for an easy finish.

collect fuses: I'm not saying to place them, but having a fuse shows you where the fuse boxes are so that you will know where they will be headed next, then you can make your move.

take control of rare items: having a lethal, shotgun or inspection kit can change the tide of the game, so collecting these items is important.
