Getting started
Hello and welcome to my long guide to this game!

This guide is mostly based around average PvE game knowledge and only Punisher class, so if you're looking for a specific class guide for a saint etc. this is not a guide for you.

First I'd like to tell you that this game is not a true MMO or MOBA but a combination of both worlds:
  • It uses MOBA like combat system with attack moves and commands similar to games like LoL, Dota, Warcraft 3 etc.

  • It takes MMO systems like crafting, socialising, PVPing , PVEing , exploring and much more!

  • Finally this game also incorporates the usage of strategies in the battlefields such as tower defense/destruction and map control

  • This is why I simply cannot get enough of this game and wish to tell others what I've learned in my few days of playing

Before you proceed, upon entering the game you will be asked to choose a Nation
once you decide that will be the nation all your characters will be in, this is to prevent spying.

In the character screen you will be presented with 3 types of classes:

- Some Big Bulky Dude
- Some Little Loli Girl
- and 'Punisher' Obviously the only class that matters

So with that out of the way let's get started.

Typical MOBA settings and keybinds

Upon entering the game the first thing you should do is play with the settings for your own comfort in the future.

My personal preferences for Game Settings :

- Auto Attack because I'm lazy
- Alarm War + Tips are off as they are annoying
- Warmonger Support for medal farming

My personal preferences for Graphics:

- This game is well optimised and I used to run it on ultra with around 65-80 FPS however, since I like to run a lot of things in the background I prefer to keep games I'm playing at minimum.

My personal preferences for Keybinds:

- Quick Cast All ( Skill button = Skill activation without left mouse click)
- Show range when casting ( Hold Skill key, Remove held key = skill activation , If you right-click = cancel skill )
- My only change in initial keys is setting inventory to B key as I find that easier to use

Okay, Now you're set to start your journey in world of Gaia!
Dungeons of Gaia
This section will cover you on your adventures to the dungeons of Gaia

VERY IMPORTANT, In the current patch of the game if you are not alone killing monsters ONLY the person who gets LAST hit on that monster gets the LOOT.

So I encourage you to play alone or rotate loot with your friends!

Dungeons are a source of:
  • Money ( Faded Passion is sold to merchants for gold )

  • Experience ( Level up )

  • Artifacts ( Accessories, Armors these can also be decomposed for more passion fragments )

  • Passion Fragments / Crystals ( Gear Upgrades )

Unlike faded passion fragments, these are used to upgrade gems and gears

There are 2 difficulties of dungeons at the moment:

Normal Mode ( Costs less Dimensional Energy )

- These are extremely easy and generally I tend to avoid unless you are low on energy / gear

Hard Mode ( Costs A lot more Dimensional Energy + Materials that cost medals eg. Time Energy )

- More monsters, stronger monsters, better loot and a boss at the end! Challenge with caution

It should be noted that by setting the ''Can not Enter'' option will prevent other members from entering the dungeon with you

There are currently 2 ways in which you can enter a dungeon:

1st Way: When you are inside the fortress, proceed to bottom right corner portal
Here you will find a dungeon that is closest to your own level and hence perfect difficulty for you to farm gear you might need or test your skills:

Dungeons that require other materials are purchased with Medals from this NPC:

2nd Way: By using world map of Gaia you can figure out which dungeon you wish to travel to and by using teleporter in the fortress you can proceed to that area:

You can right click on an area to run there!

Look for portals like this on the map as these are entrances to dungeons

- A dungeon can have a maximum of 5 players inside unless it is set to ''Can not Enter'' in that case you must wait for these players to finish their dungeon before you can enter through this portral
- I recommend you go to another portal and hope that it is available instead

To get a better understanding on dungeon drops please refer to guide by InDeed:

Alright, Now you can explore the dungeons of the world with ease.
Artifacts and More
This section of the guide will cover everything to do with Artifacts and other fun stuff
Artifacts also known as 'Gear' can be obtained in many ways most are included below:
  • Dungeons

Simply kill monsters in dungeons and they have a chance of dropping armors or jewelery

  • Crafting

  • Cash-shop gacha

It should be noted that some weapons require materials that are purchased in Medals shop which I've mentioned earlier in my guide. These medals can be obtained by participating in wars for territories and daily quests:

So let's start from scratch:

Cash-shop gacha equipment can be ignored entirely and will not be discussed in this guide as It's tiny stat boosts are not even worth mentioning. Please don't worry about p2w regarding gear obtainment.

Step 1: Figure out what artifacts you want from the crafting NPC's

Step 2: Compare each weapon for your class and read their skill descriptions ( pick 2 main ones )

Step 3: Begin farming dungeons for materials + artifacts you've chosen

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 Until you have obtained 1 Piece of each artifact with 3 sockets this is because sockets can only obtained through new gear and cannot be added any other way

If you are wondering why 3 sockets, that is because you will keep these sockets until the very final tier of the gear no matter what you upgrade them with!

Step 5: Once you finished collecting your full set of Artifacts with 3 sockets proceed to upgrade them by using Item Reinforce option in your inventory

Step 5.1: You can get Orange Passion Fragments by Decomposing artifacts / weapons you craft or get as loot.
The higher the *Star* ( Tier ) Of an item, the Higher the % Chance to get the fragments from decomposition, these are used to upgrade artifacts to next Tier.

Step 6: Keep repeating the process until you are feeling strong enough to solo hard dungeons with ease

Step 7: Start working on your Runes by talking to the following NPCs, your runes will remain inside their sockets when you upgrade your gear to next tier

Please remember that each rune has a specific slot it can be put into, so don't go making more than you can use, since you cannot sell them!

Runes also cost money to be put into and taken out of gear, so make sure you leave a little bit of money behind to put your new made rune into your gear!

Step 8: Now that you've got the basics of making yourself stronger, you can further improve your character by using elixirs, tomes and potions which can be obtained through crafting too

Step 9: By this point you're probably wondering what to do with left over materials, potions , or where can you get more storage? Look no further, you'll find an auction house and your own warehouse in the fortress

Auction house takes 5% tax on any items you try to sell so be careful with your pricing

It should be noted that you can trade items between friends using mailbox system too

There is also a legion warehouse that can be accessed through the legion NPC

Step 10: Achievement points ( yellow jewels rewarded ) can be used as currency for auction house at 1 per 1000 gold, Cash-shop Gacha at 1:1 to jewel currency and can be also used to expand your inventory and warehouse, finally a place where achievement points can help

Step 11: Congrats! You now know the basics of crafting, start those upgrades!

Conclusion
Now that you've been brought up to speed with what this game has to offer go ahead in the world of Gaia and enjoy yourself!

Thank you for this. This is one of the first games I have come across that didn't have an online wiki at Fandom. I greatly appreciate the time you took to put this together. I have so many (too many) games going at once, articles like this are important for keeping track for the games and there differences, etc. Thanks again. ;)
