Essentially, No. It doesn't work straight out the box, (unfortunately) but there is one easy fix to getting you on your way for hosting coop or Horde Matches with your friends.

Simple, You'll need to port forward to UDP - 48170

If you know how to port forward then end of tutorial. If not, lets keep going.

Port Forwarding is variable. I can't tell you how to it for your specific router so you'll need to find out any information regarding your route such as the Administrative Password and User name (If your router requires one).


So before you start getting ready to port forward you need your default gateway. For me, it's 192.168.1.1 but for other's it may be different.

In order to get your default gateway, start by right clicking your windows logo and pressing run. If you aren't Windows 8.1 or 10, then you can get to run by pressing Windows Key + R


After that type "CMD" into the box and press enter.












Once your Command Prompt opens, type in the command prompt "ipconfig" and press enter. (Without the parenthesis)









You'll notice a wall of text appear, locate your default gateway and copy it. It's what you'll need to access your router's configuration.











Now paste that into your browser, and from there you'll need to research on how to access your router or how to port forward using your router. I can't assist you when it gets to that point since there are so many ways, configurations and variables that other routers has.
