Hi,

i will explain quick how to get 2 Xbox 360 Controller working.

Details

So you have to go to this path:

\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Shadowgrounds\Profiles\Joypad1\Config

open the keybinds.txt

and overwrite with this

// Extra padding for loading joystick_x_axis = axis_rx joystick_y_axis = axis_ry controller_type = 0 camera_move_forward = joy-up camera_move_backward = joy-down camera_move_left = joy-left camera_move_right = joy-right attack = joy-throttle-up change_next_weapon = joy-but-6 quit = joy-but-8,esc camera_look_mode = alt screenshot = f11 special_move = joy-but-3 console_toggle = f8 change_prev_weapon = joy-but-5 reload = joy-but-2 flashlight = joy-but-4 execute = joy-but-1 attack_secondary = joy-throttle-down run_script_9 = f12 weapon_1 = 1 weapon_2 = 2 weapon_3 = 3 weapon_4 = 4 weapon_5 = 5 weapon_6 = 6 weapon_7 = 7 weapon_8 = 8 weapon_9 = 9 weapon_10 = 0 open_upgrade = joy-but-10 open_map = joy-but-9 open_log = joy-but-7

Second Step:

go to

\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Shadowgrounds\Profiles\Joypad2\Config

and open again the keybinds.txt

and overwrite with this

The triggers are primary and alt fire, with the shoulders switching weapons. A = Use, X = Roll, Y - Flashlight, B = Reload, Back = Logs, LThumb = Map, RThumb = Upgrades, and Start pauses the game and goes back to the Options menu.

Needs maybe some adjustment. I use it for Couch Coop for 2 players ;)
This is a "as is" Solution and i just wanted to share my informations.
It should work almost perfect, if someone runs into trouble i would maybe suggest the frozenbyte forum[frozenbyte.com].

Thanks so much. I tried all the other suggestions I found on this, but this is the only way it worked for me. I had to uninstall and reinstall after trying the other ways. I opened it with steam big picture with the controller support enabled for generic and x box controllers and it seems to work just fine. Long live couch coop gaming!

If anyone wants to add a third controller, just change
controller_type to 2 and change all others that have "joy" in it to "joy3", e.g.
"camera_move_forward = joy3-up"

And if someone needs to change resolution settings, go to
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Shadowgrounds\Config
and open the options.txt -> Display -> screen_height & screen_width

ADDITION (SENSIBILITY):
You can change the sensibility for the right stick within the Config/options.txt. The key is 'joystick_sensitivy' and a value of 0.3 seems appropriate for me (and probably every xbox gamepad).

If others have the issue where when loading the game the keybinding are all set to none, again copy and paste the keybindings config and after saving, right click on the keybindings file and go to properties and click READ ONLY. now it works for me.

Thanks for this. I used once several computers ago and I just now found it again. Finally I can play shadowgrounds without the urge to kill my controller!
