Well, this is odd. I just booted up the game to try narrowing the problem down further and now it's not happening! hah

You bet, and thanks for responding! My favourite vanilla loadout is twin ion cannons, looking forward to upgrading to Pappy's.

Game crashes with a message about Exception Access Violation immediately after firing Pappy's Railgun.

Thanks for the comment! It feels good to know someone appreciated some of my weird things and which ones they liked. Also, pretty sure you can one shot yourself with that railgun if you're too close to something you shoot.

You were very right about making things easy. Some of those items are what I'd call "end game" stuff or for achievement hunting.

Homing Chicken is cool. I love the idea behind everything in this mod, but it all carries what I feel to be the biggest flaw in Deathwar even further: game is pretty easy. After that initial, fifteen hours-long dopamine tree of do job, do job, buy upgrade, do stuff, do job, buy ship, buy upgrade, I wanted to go back to having no money and repairs to pay for.

The "Before" burner is super cool, though, and Pappy's Railgun (and ESPECIALLY the screen effects that happen when you land a shot) is t h e b e s t weapon in a +15 pirate dogfight.
