Leveling
  • Lita LeCotta
    • Make her your physical dps.
    • Place most of your level ups into Attack, and enough into Agility to equal 200.
    • This build will enable her to attack twice for every one enemy attack, and deal several hundred points of damage per attack.

  • Adrian Omani
    • Make him your tank.
    • Place equal level ups into defense and intelligence, as intelligence gives magic resistance, and boosts one of the most important skills in the game: "reflection."
    • If his magic feels strained, then place some level ups here. I didn't have any magic trouble with his magic at 22.
    • You can place a few level ups into agility to move before the enemy does, typically 3 or 4 level ups will do. Though this won't matter later, as you get an item that allows him to move first.

  • Doren Indiel
    • Make him your healer.
    • First focus on intelligence, then when you feel strained on magic, put 2 level ups into magic.
    • The upper limit for his magic should be around 50.
    • For every 2 level ups placed into magic, the magic regen increases by 1. So at 10, magic regen is 2; 18, 3; 26, 4; 34, 5; 42, 6; 50, 7; etc.
    • I recommend placing 4 or 5 level ups into agility to have him move before everyone except Lita, because his "song of elves" and his "magic empowerment" buffs can increase your dps by a large amount. As an example, I have seen Seri deal 1000 points of damage once buffed.

  • Seri Kesu
    • Make her your magic dps.
    • First focus on intelligence, then when you feel strained on magic, put 2 level ups into magic.
    • The upper limit for her magic should be 600.
    • She only regens magic when you defend with her. However, at 600 magic, she regen around 100 magic for each time you defend with her.
    • Eventually, you will get access to items that halves her magic costs. Equipping one of them, and having 600 magic, will let you cast "elemental burst all" twice, quickly killing most trash.
    • Agility is highly optional with her, but placing a few level ups into will let you cast before the enemy can move.

  • End result:
    • Lita deals the physical damage.
    • Adrian debuffs the enemy and uses "reflection." He deals minor magic damage, and zero physical damage, but survives pretty much everything.
    • Doren buffs the party and heals. He deals zero damage, period.
    • Seri uses powerful aoe spells, and provides the magic damage.

Combat
  • Party Setup
    Row
    Party member
    1
    Adrian
    2
    Lita, Doren, and Seri

  • Trash Fights
Pretty much all trash fights devolve into the following formula:
    • Lita auto's one creature.
    • Adrian casts "reflection."
    • Doren waits till he needs to heal.
    • Seri casts "elemental outbrust all."
    • Lita auto's one of the living creatures.
    • Adrian defends.
    • Doren waits again till someone needs healing or defends to regen mana.
    • Seri casts "elemental outbrust all."
    • The battle is won.

  • Further considerations
    • Lita auto's should be focused on high health or high intelligence mobs, as these mobs will typically survive two rounds of "elemental outbrust all."
    • Doren's heal, and Lita's heal render the "Cup of Dreams" item useless, as they resurrect. So, prioritize Doren's survival above all.

    "Reflection" OP
    • Adrian's "reflection" strength manifests itself when an enemy drops any aoe spell: it will reflect it back on the entire enemy party! So, "reflection" works on any spell that targets Adrian as well as the party.
    • Typically, from the holy land onwards, the mobs, and bosses like to cast aoe spells, and can kill themselves with "reflection" up.
    • Level 2 "reflection" lasts twice as long, 20 rounds, and cost half as much as level 1 "reflection," so fairly easy to cast.

  • Boss Fights
    Utilize the following formula:
    • Adrian casts "reflection," then casts "mark," then casts "power strike," then defends.
    • Lita casts "elven focus," then auto's till "elven focus" can be cast again. Once you have cast "elven focus" thrice, then just focus on auto's. Unless, you fight a vampire, then use a sunlight skill. (it isn't necessary to use a sunlight skill on a vampire to kill him or her. The vampires enter a "weaken" state at half health, and any sunlight skill executes the "weaken" vampire.)
    • Doren casts "elven song," then priotizes healing, or casts "magic empowerment" on Seri to restore her mana.
    • Seri casts "elemental brust all" if trash exists, else casts "elemental brust one" till out of mana. Then defend till she can cast "elemental brust one" again.

  • Special considerations: Multi-part Boss Fights
Eventually, you will face multi-part boss fights. For whatever reason, all buffs reset with each new phase, so be sure to recast "reflection" asap. I don't know if this is a bug or an intended mechanic or even something that can be fixed.

  • Special considerations: First Vampire Elder boss fight
For this fight, you will only have two low level characters, Lita and Seri. You will not have any healing aside from items, and Seri will be tko for most of the fight. So, do the following:
    • Round one, have Lita uses a potion of attack, and have Seri cast "elemental brust one".
    • Round two, have Lita casts "elven focus" and have Seri heal Lita if she was damaged.
    • Once the magic binding orb starts harassing Seri, prioritize killing the tendrils, because the vampire elder will cast a "restore all" spell after a set period time, which restores him to full, and produces a large number of tendrils.
    • After the "restore all" spell happens, prioritize killing the vampire elder. He will not cast the restore all spell again.
    • Eventually the orb will stop producing tendrils to attack Seri, because she is dead, so you can use a "cup of dreams" to get her back up, to start healing the party. But, the orb will start harassing her again after a set period of time.
    • Eventually, you will weaken the boss to the point where sunlight will kill him. Do so and win the most difficult fight of the game.

Things I would change
  • Removing the two level ups for Lita in mana. I did that to see what her ultimate ability did, and realized it's useless.
  • Saving my status up items till I have my full party or have the party member that would benefit the most from it. As an example, I ended up using a few intelligence boosts on Adrian, when I could of used them to boost Seri.

Be aware that this guide is pre enhanced edition, hence it no longer is that good due to how much the balancing changed.

Fair enough. The game isn't too difficult to beat, if I recall.

cool guide but I run my Lita with 30 mana as it gives 5 mana per turn - and multishot is really nice to have. Your guide says you need 34mana but it's 30 (even if it was 34 when you played)
