The dead RED Soldier dropping into the pit and triggering an explosion is a nice reference to the old patched "pre-emptive pit explosion" Payload map glitch that plagued the game back in 2015 after Gun Mettle update. It became especially infamous on pl_Upward. I remember griefers would drop a weapon or suicide over the pit to trigger the final point capture during set-up time before BLU had even left their base.
I was expecting him to play golf with a glass eye, I mean, that's the joke the title implies, isn't it? But the prop is shown several times and it's clearly a golf ball, with indentations and everything.
(* Granted, TF2 is a universe where the Medic keeps doves roosting in his surgery, and worse. I guess a glass eye makes for a bad golfing experience anyway.)
