Durius' House/Beginning
You have an introduction cutscene that gives you some info about the world you're currently in.
After you wake up take a look around the room and you'll notice a green book. Read it and pay attention to the axes and their corresponding color liana. For reference here's a table:
Liana Color
Axe type
Green
Rusty
Blue
Steel
Red
Tempered
Golden
Gilded

Go towards the chest and realize you need a key. Now go into the other room. Read the papers, and get the key which is here:Go open the chest in the first room and equip your axe. Now you're ready to chop down your doorway and explore!
*Little sidenote here, you can always come back to Durius' House and sleep to regain health and magic*
Curved Hills Interior
Now in the next room there are 4 doors. 3 with Green Liana and 1 with Blue. From left to right I'll be refererring to them 1-3, to make things easier. There's also a Cep, a Green Cap and a Pentcale Stone you can get in this room. (I'll mostly only just point out the Pentacle Stones from here on out and the first instances of something new because there are way too many things to keep track of)
-First Room
You go in and find that your way is blocked by a blue protrusion that you can't cut down. Leave for now.
-Second Room
Theres a spider mini-boss in here which I wouldn't fight til around level 4. You dont technically need to come through here til a bit later in the storyline anyway, so the third door is probably best to go through beforehand. But here's how to fight this little miniboss anyway:
Afterwards a way up appears and there's another room. You can go outside and to the Outdoor Blue Lotus Cavern from here.
-Third Room
Now here is where you can finally start to do something!
Go up and to the left there you'll find a plant that makes a different noise when you step on it. Do that til you fall through.
Now you can go up where you fell through using some vines. But you're gonna want to go down and to the right. You'll end up here: *Sidenote: Hatha can see in the dark in a small radius around him, so for the dark parts I use him*
Now to the right is where you can go up to get into the other side of the upper room and the loot therein.
Down and to the left is another place to fall through.
You can crawl up that with vines as well. But what you want to do is go left til you see a little glow worm in the wall and then head north. There's a textured wall that Hatha can climb up. And look where you come out!Push the boulder and then go back up to the first room and now your path is clear!
Now go through to the other cave on the map. After the first room there is another Spider to beat. Web spots:
Now follow the path and have Durius fall to the discolored patch in the darkness.
Leaping Twitter Stairs
*Disclaimer before I start, I have some trouble seeing things when its as dark as this so if I missed something let me know*
You're gonna want to heal up for the next part. Hurry down the vines avoiding the spiky spores along the way. They can kill you if you get hit enough. There's a Blue Liana doorway after you have to move the boulder, but ignore it and keep going down.
The next room has the same m.o. Just keep going down. There's a Red Liana doorway but ignore it for now.
Get to the bottom and you're free. At least for a bit. There's a Fountain Sprout and a Pearl Bush in the room. Save and continue on.
Undervaults
Now there's a Green Cap on your left but not much else so head on right. Follow the path and head up when you can. There's a Green Liana doorway. Inside is an Inn! There's a Golden Liana doorway in there so remember it for later.
Leave and head to the right.
*To the left there's a passageway hidden behind moss. Hit it to destroy it. Go through a hidden wall on your left and there's another moss patch on the North wall. The next room is through to the left. Its another Spore room. Follow the path until it splits. To the right is an Ancient chest. If you go up you can leave but thats another spore room and I'll talk about it later*
The only way to progress to the next room is through a hidden wall:
Go through and down and to the left again. There's a moss part on the north wall, go through that to get an Ancient chest. Leave and go to the right.
In the next room we're gonna wanna go to the right. Warning: Going down and to the right leads you to a Boss. There's some consumables to the left that you can forage and some monsters if you need to level up.
Moss Walker
Weak to Fire. Resists Water and Plant. Can Bleed, be Poisoned, and Grounded.

Defeat him and go through the doorway. There's an Ancient chest. Congrats! Now you can go through Blue Liana. If you want you can backtrack to the Leaping Twitter stairs to get the stuff behind the doorway there. Now you're gonna wanna go back to the Inn and rest. The next part involves more spores.
I detailed the beginning parts of this earlier so I'm gonna pick up where I left off.
After you go North where the path splits, just climb. There's no hidden spots here. The room you come out into looks kinda familiar.
Go up and through the trees and find you cant move.
Pick up the True Iron Ore and go back down.
You'll see this:
Go down to the Indoor Blue Lotus Cavern. Read the Book and use Hatha on the big blue flower. Note the Blue Liana doorway, but we'll come back to that later. Go back to the room you just came from and use Durius on the crack in the wall. You can now head back to the Blue Liana at the beginning and get the goodies inside. Which include 2 penatcle stones and a True Iron ore.
Now leave and go into the 2nd room/Spider room and head on outside to the Outdoor Blue Lotus Cavern. Use the Lotus Eye and Climb the vines to get an Ancient chest and a True Iron ore. Go back to the Indoor Lotus Cave and leave through the Blue door. Go through to the other cave.
Rock Labyrinth and Electric Lair
Avoid Crusher's rocks and follow the path. The path splits and you're gonna wanna go right.
Now there's a way you can fight Crusher, but I've put the info for that later on in the guide.

Follow the path to the end and leave the Cave and go to the other cave.
This part is going to be tricky. You're going to want to avoid stepping on the vines that cover the floor when they're lit up yellow. If you do you're sent back to the start of the room. Now there's a couple of offshoots to the path but 90% of the time its just a Cep and you can always come back and get those. But there is an Ancient Chest with Lightning Armor in it that will severely help with the Boss. Its closer towards the end.
The path through the room has a heavy bias to the right side so sticking to that side is your best option for getting there quick.

Now the Boss of this Lair is the Cthonic Octopus. It's the thing thats electrifying the entire room.
-When its in its normal state its weak to Fire. It can Bleed. Its cant be Poisoned. Plant heals it.
-When its in its Electrified state it's weak to Earth.
After you kill it the room is no longer electrified, and you get a key Item of earth Octo Meat.
Head on Back to the Rock Labyrinth and head down this time. Talk to the dwarf there and then go to the weird stone. Give it the earth Octo meat and Now you can enter Muonar.
Muonar and Hilltop Village
Just after entering, you'll notice a door to your right. Go in and then down the stairs. There's an Ancient chest that's really useful. Go back up. To the right is the item shop. Out the door and all the way to the left is a place where you can sleep. Explore for a while if you want but you have to leave to continue the plot. The exit is in the lower right of the city.

Head toward the hilltop village. You'll find the True Iron ore near the diary. Try to leave the village and a cutscene happens. After the cutscene head back to Muonar and go to the Blacksmith.
Now you can pass through Red Liana. Feel free to backtrack from here to previous doorways.
Leave Muonar and head to the cave in the south. Cut through the Liana and head up the cliff.
Go right to reach an Ancient chest. Go down and right to reach the Red thickets.

In this room you need to cut down the liana to kill these creepy little eye things. There are 6 of them.
Leave the cave and your back on the world map. Head right to the next cave. There's a secret passageway near the end of the room that you're going to need to find to go to the next part.
*If you want to head back to Muonar, head out of the cave and go right and up. You'll end up at the first cave you came in to*
Mud Labyrinth
Go down and make sure you pick the right Axe for the right colored Liana. After the second Blue Liana there's a secret passageway to the right with an Ancient chest. Keep going down avoiding the spores.
Now you're in the Labyrinth part. Avoid the disease looking things. They'll give you Virus. There is an Ancient chest on the left and the right. The Zemocon Stone is also on the right. The way out starts to the right and heads left. The exit is on the bottom left. Heal up and save cuz there's a boss.
-Mudmouth Frog Alpha Weak to Lightning. Can Bleed.
-Mud Hand- weak to Lightning.
-Mildew Hand- weak to Fire. - can cast Regen so kill first.

Leave the cave and follow the path. Its splits after a bit. To the North is a cave that if you go through you can get back to Muonar, and to the South is where you need to go through to continue the story. In the Northern Cave there's a hidden passageway with an Ancient chest right next to some Blue Liana on the right.

To the South you'll quickly get to here:You'll have to go to the Camp to continue the story but you can go to the right and get stuff if you want to.
Jingal Death Camp
Warning: There is some pretty heavy stuff happening in this part of the game, with this part being based off of the tragedy and injustice that happened to people in Nazi Germany. Specifically, concentration camps. If you know you're sensitive to this sort of thing I try to keep things in this part of the guide as vague as possible and it is never shown in a positive manner in the guide or in the game *There are also no secret places in the camp. There are quotes from from real life survivors though*

Go to the right through the labryinthine things. When you can head towards the fence. A prisoner will talk to you and ask you to meet him in the Southeastern barracks.
Talk to the gaurd. There will be a small cutscene. Then talk to the gaurd again as Hatha. This time they'll llet you through. Go through the first opening on your right and find the barracks in the bottom right corner.
The person who wanted to talk to you will be sitting up with another guy. Talk to him as Durius. He'll ask you to get some explosives. You'll have to go back to Muonar for those. * There's a hidden wall on the wooden path that leads to the back of the explosives storage room*
After you get the explosives head back to Seven. He'll ask you to get him a Worker's Permission from 5309, and to get blueprints from the "medical" center in the women's side of the prison. Mister 5309 is in the barracks closest to the Northern fence. He was a bit tricky for me to find:Talk to him and he'll ask you to look for his wife on the women's side. She's in the barracks one row up from the bottom on the far left. She's on the right.
You can go ahead while you're on this side and go up to the "medical" center. Talk to the woman by the doors and she'll tell you where the "doctor" is. Go and fight him. Feel slightly better. Pick up the key. Go back to the "medical" center. Pick up the blueprints.
Head back to 5309. He'll give you his Permission now. Go back to the middle of the camp. Go North til you see a lone Jingal on your right. Have Hatha give him the Worker's Permission. Go into the warehouses and use the axe that corresponds to the box color. *There is a bag of potatoes outside that you can give to a prisoner in the firstmale barracks you see. He'll let you sleep in his spot*
Get the stuff and go back to Seven. There's some cutscenes.
The best path to plant the explosives is Crematorium, Northeast Tower, Northwest Tower, Southeast tower and Southwest tower. Plant the explosives and then go into the metal door near the entrance. Fight the commandant. As most things with fur are, it's weak to Fire. I'm not going to deny I felt some satisfaction everytime I used a Fire spell.
Leave with the refugees and head to Muonar. You can get the Gilded Axe and can now back track to get all the loot.
*If you go to where the refugees are staying there is a new ancient chest*
Legendary Monsters
Now there are 3 Legendary Monsters in every world and if you kill them all not only do you get an achievement for each one of them, but you get some really nice gear that helps with the final boss battle. So for Nuterra the Legends are Zemocon, Crusher, and The Wall of Hate.
-The Wall is way back an the beginning near Durius' House
It and the Pebble Faces are weak to Water and Plant. Immune to Bleed. Taurus is a great thing to spam here.
-Crusher is in the middle in the Rock Labyrinth in your way to the Electric Lair
Weak to Plant. Resistant to Air. But it can Bleed. Taurus is also good here.

-Zemocon. Our old pal Z-man. I honestly suggest waiting to level up to at least 25 to fight him. Now to fight him you have to go on a quest and touch some stones with an emerald you get from him. Essen has info about that in their guide, but I do have pictures!

There's also a "hidden" cave behind the Jingal Headquarters. If you go to the right side and around behind it, and go left you should find it. There's an Ancient chest hidden behind some Liana in the lower left side of the room.
Jingal Headquarters
Now this is the end of the line. After you go into the castle you wont be able to go explore Nuterra anymore. So make sure you've done what you want to do cuz you can't go back.
-Now heading in you have to fight 3 Jingal. They're weak to Fire and Plant so it shouldnt be too hard. You can rest and Buy items from the Jingal Merchant to the left.
Continue on to the next area where you have to fight more gaurds. This is your last chance to save your progress or change your equipment and things so do that now.
You're also going to want to make sure that Hatha and Durius are wearing the most useful equipment, because after this you lose all of your inventory items that you arent wearing. So for me I chose Lycia's Staff, Meat Hat, Berithe's Robe*, and Master Bracelet for Hatha. For Durius I chose Gilded Axe, Horned Helmet, Camo Armor, and Platinum Bracelet.
* I really debated between Berithe's Robe and Enchanted Robe, but I believe there are other items that make Obstruct immune elsewhere.

-Now go inside the castle and fight the Jingal Leader after the cutscene. He's weak to Fire and Plant. Can be Poisoned and Bleed. He'll keep callin reinforcements til he's dead, but once he dies the battle is over.

- After another cutscene continue as Seven to get the Earth Pendant and leave Nuterra.

Thank you! I was absolutely sure you drop into the mud labyrinth right from the hilltops and so I missed the red thickets inbetween. Never bothered to go into it from this side. Damn brain playing tricks on me! I wouldn't have gone there another five times...

Schneelocke - The Curved Hills Interior/ Curved End is the same area as where you fall down into the Mud Labyrinth for the first time

@schneelocke give me a little bit and I'll look into it. It's been a while since I've played the game

The first of the 4 pictures with the Zemocon stones should be the one in Curved Hillls Interior / Curved end (according to essens guide). But where is this location? I went throught the whole nuterra map 5 times, but didn't enter the castle yet. Help!

There is a True Iron Ore on the top of Rock Labyrinth.

You get Taurus from the Ancient Chest to the right when you're climbing on top of a ceiling wall.
It's hard to explain I forgot the actual name of them.

Where do you get Taurus? I see it in the guide but I have no idea what weapon yields it.

Btw, it's the Wall of Evil, not the Wall of Hate. Great guide btw, also gl to anyone doing the Jingal Death Camp, I was dying inside for the full 2 hours I was in that segment...
