The Onset is a fast and versatile spacecraft that is engineered to fulfill various different tasks at hand. Most commonly it is used as a troop deployment vessel and armored transport. The Onset can also aid in the construction of small bases due to its extensive cargo capacity. Larger Capital sized vessels, which often have difficulties entering a planetary atmosphere, see the Onset as a vital asset and a huge extension of their operating abilities. Aside from being a troop transport and armored cargo vessel the onset has various other functions as well. Using a demilitarized version of the Onset as civilian science vessel has become very popular among the scientific community. However, the DRO occasionally uses the Onset as light escort vessel.
