Ironface
The Savage Skeletal Abomination

There's only two things you need to deal with Mr. Ironface: a weapon that can downward stab and a ranged weapon for the orbs. If you're using one of the scythes, like for the soul reaper for instance, make sure you have a reserve sword just in case this guy shows up (and a few other bosses honestly).

You need the downward stab to bounce off his head when he does the pinwheel laser attack, and you don't have to bounce off his exposed head, you can also bounce off the orbs if you have to, they'll just bounce you higher.

In his second phase, you can usually get the first orb that becomes vulnerable, just don't get too greedy. Take your time, and it should be pretty easy. The orbs are prone to friendly fire, so use that to your advantage.
Azguard
The Diabolical Bloodthirsty Demon

Azguard's really the best boss to get on the first area. He usually has some pretty good loot rewards, it's not uncommon to get the crimson sword or some demon runes or both. Late in the game, not so helpful, but still, he's usually pretty easy.

For style points, try throwing yourself against the ropes à la WWE to give yourself some extra speed to dodge the projectiles. Or don't.

Grubbington
The Titanic Tiki Grub

Grubbington is basically a freebie. Maybe if there were two or three of these things that you had to dodge, and the floor was acid, and it was basically level 6 of Battletoads, it would be challenging, but as is, it's a boring fight.

Stand inside the segments, keep doing the overhead swing, that's it.

Usually really bad loot rewards so as much as this boss is a relief to get when you're low on health, you're better off never running into Grubbington.
Cuboid
The Obsidian Plated Cuboid

Big bad cube with a 'tude. Lots and lots of wall sliding basically. Do that and this guy will atually be so easy it's boring. This boss is mostly annoying because you can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see it when it hangs out off the edge of the screen. The arena's just too big.

There's 4 phases, where the fourth will always be the vulnerable phase.

1. Laser grid — (this will always be the first phase when you enter the room, but could vary after that), just stand in the bottom corner of the screen, you're safe 99.999% of the time there. If Cuboid happens to catch you off guard, ocassionally you'll need to go to the top corner, but usually you don't need to.

2. Impact bombs & fire launcher — During this phase Cuboid is actually vulnerable for a change, but unless you have some wicked good ranged damage, don't bother, just focus on dodging. Either go high or low on the wall to avoid the impact bombs, then keep wall sliding to avoid the launcher.

3. Time bombs & rapid launcher — Generally you want to be sliding down as Cuboid targets you so that he overshoots above you. If you make him shoot below you, there's a chance he'll gain altitude during the salvo and insta-kill you. For the time bombs, same thing as the impact bombs, either stay high or low before it fires, not in the middle.

4. Homing missile smoke thingies — This will always be the fourth phase. The previous three are interchangeable (except the laser grid, which will always be the first phase on the first circuit), but the fourth will always be this one, so keep track and be ready for it. Don't let Cuboid fire that initial scatter of smoke missile things. Beat 'im to the punch, just immediately shoot the core so that he starts panicking.

This boss seems to get mentioned the most in the forums, and I'm not sure but I think it's because people fight him on the ground when you really want to be either wall-sliding or wall-jumping for the majority of the fight. What makes Cuboid hard I think is its erratic movement, which isn't really a problem if you just keep on riding the wall like I told you.
Deathrig
The Ashen Wraith

Man this guy is a sunnavabich. He takes so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long to beat, and even with some great loot, like the shadow star, you're still in for at least a two minute fight, usually longer if you want to play safe.

1. Homing shadow missile things — I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate these things, there's something about the way they target you that really throws me off. The way they fishtail and curve around, I'm never totally sure of where they're going to go. They sort of remind me of Sol Dae Rokker, the Mission 4 boss of Metal Slug 3 if anyone's familiar. These ghost wolves would whip around and then suddenly nose dive you and it would drive me crazy. The things in Caveblazers aren't nearly as bad but they show up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere: Deathrig, Cuboid, The *Fake* Final Boss, The *Other Fake* Final Boss, The *Actual But Not Really* Final Boss. I hate dodging these things.

Anyways sorry. Just give yourself enough space during this phase and don't worry about actually dealing damage to Deathrig. Go in close, wait, then run away, repeat. I just shoot him once or twice as a timing thing. If you happen to get too close to the wall, just wall jump to create more space.

2. Purple vomit — You want him to start this attack somewhere in the middle of the arena so that he doesn't finish too far from the wall. So get off about 4-6 shots, then start moving slowly left or right and then he'll start the attack. Get about 5 more shots in before doing a downward stab to knock him out.

3. Red orbs — these things have terrbile tracking and you don't have to worry about touching the orbs. So feel free to swipe at them with melee, downward stab if you're feeling like a show off, and move on.

4. Spiraling attack — I always stand down and to the left right where you have an angle to shoot back and that seems to work. So do that. Here's where you can actually deal quite a bit of damage.

5. Eyeballs — only one tracks and very slowly, you don't have to worry about touching them and they can shoot each other. Try to focus on one if you can, but as long as you're patient, this usually isn't too difficult..
Medusa
The Crazed Moonjelly Monstrosity

Not much to go over here. Try to stay sort of in the middle of the arena so that you have time to run to either wall in case of the chain lightning (it's risky to try in dodge in the middle of the arena), if she starts charging the starburst attack, run away as they projectiles are easier to dodge from farther away.

When she tries to eat you, just run back and forth to juke, then you can finally start dealing damage.

If you have a shadow or ruby wand, this fight is basically a freebie since all her attacks can be dodged with either. If you have the grappling hook, you can very easily dodge the chain lightning, and dropdown attack, but the starburst still has to be dodged normally.

Felfang
The Venemous Malformed Half-Spider

This is probably my least favorite boss. Just like Grubbington, he's very boring to fight, but at least Grubbington knows when to die quickly. Felfang can also be a bit erratic with the poison bombs, sometimes placing them in such a way where's it's nearly impossible to avoid being hit. So you generally just have to be aggressive to force him to retreat, otherwise the whole arena will get covered in stinky spider gas.
Goliath
The Chaotic Stone Berserker

Here's another boss that should really be in a smaller arena (along with Cuboid). Half the time you can't even tell where anything is. A fist could be flying at you and you won't even know it until it's too late.

So here's what I do now: I cheese it. If Goliath ends up in a configuration that doesn't expose its eye, then don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bother with dealing damage to it while it's knocked out, just stand on top of it and hope the next configuration is more vulnerable.

It's very cheesy and very effective.
The Overlord
AKA: Immortan Joe

Phase 1:

This might be the most difficult boss for me. He's basically a Warrior Hobgoblin that can downward stab, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will he downward stab. Playing against this guy's first form I'm grateful he's the only enemy that does. With the arrowhead relic active, I think it's something like 160 damage or some other perposterous number. So stand back, stick to ranged. If you want you can lure him to the side of the arena so that he's flush to the wall, then you can downward stab him, though it's a bit risky because he might either shoot you or use an overhead swing.

He'll get annoyed, then ocassionally shoot smoke bombs at you while he's invulnerable.

And I'm not sure if this is a bug, but at this point it's possible to get insta-hit with his ranged attack, no warning, no aiming period, just zapped as soon as you're lined up with him. And because his ranged attack is a lightning bolt and not a projectile, so essentially a hit-scan weapon, there's no avoiding it. So... good luck with that, bring extra HP just in case.

Phase 2:

A purple orb that shoots lasers, homing smoke missile things, purple land mines, MORE homing smoke missile things and that's basically it. Every attack will be punctuated by three purple missiles, so always have enough room to evade, stick to ranged for the most part.

Phase 3:

Deploy a titan star or shadow star and win

Or

Downward stab endlessly while juking left to right, right to left, etc. and win.

Dominae
The Shrouded Protector

I'm not sure what he's protecting, but he sucks at it. Hopefully you've got some health-regenerating abilities that you can use here to pad your hitpoints with (the Shadow Orb and Shadow Ball are going to work great here), otherwise, just get this over as quickly as you can.

The tentacle ends turn yellow, then you shoot them or whack them with your melee. There are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ton of hitpoints, so I recommend a good podcast.
Eye of Israphel
An Ancient Adversary

There's two ways to defeat this boss. Mano a mano, or, my preferred method, cheese it.

Turn on your favorite podcast, pick the dual wield perk, find a shadow star, place it twice, you're the hero.

The titan star also works decently with the dual wield perk, as well as the silver skull actually.

If you're trying to beat this boss without a cheap tactic, it's important that nothing here hurts you just by touching. So in other words, you can walk right through the little eyes, the red sentry gun things, and the big eye. So when you're fighting Israphel with a bit more uh... honor... you'll not want to waste any time getting to the flashing orange eye after his pinwheel attack. Just swing your melee like crazy, running right through him if need be. After hitting the weak spot, the big eye will reveal itself and shoots some fairly easy to dodge projectiles. Make sure to mop up the red sentries too though, as they'll get out of hand quickly.

But if you're doing that, you'll need a good ranged weapon, so you'll need at least a tier 3 shadow bow, if not a tier 4. So make sure to prioritize ranged weapons in shops, the melee isn't as important. In fact, you're better off not using any shadow melee and just lucking out with a crimson sword instead, or maybe a crowbill scythe or a soul reaper scythe (but keep your default sword handy for certain bosses). If you've got the primer perk in the shop, you've really lucked out, because you'll only need to buy 3 ranged weapons for a tier 4 shadow bow:

the default bow + the three = tier 2 + primer = tier 3 + primer = tier 4 shadow bow

You can actually get a tier 4 shadow bow by stage 2, then all you need for the rest of the game is reliable health regeneration (shadow ball or shadow orb are great. A super shadow ball is especially amazing, though hard to craft obviously, but probably worth a primer, which would mean you will end up with a tier 3 shadow bow assuming you don't get really lucky with 2 primer perks). And like a said earlier, a crimson sword is also great too.

Or... ignore all of that and cheese it.
