Back at your home in Skalitz, in the third Main Quest "Homecoming". Head down the road and watch out for some Bandits, but there easy to take down. When you reach the small Hamlet in the South-West of Skalitz Castle, go further down over a stone bridge to a Brickyard
(Building with a large chimney).

"Location"

Near the fortified entrance is a hidden Chest in the reeds with some good Loot and Cash ;)

But watch out, there is a group of Mercenaries in the fortified Brickyard, and these guys are really tough and unforgiving. If you dare, in the Smithy (West corner of this area) is a chest with a bunch of clothing, but not really worth the risk.

Just because no one mentioned it: This is treasure chest number 9.
So if you get this one early on, there's no point in following treasure map IX, when you get it later.

I prefer to go for the treasure chests systematically at some point, otherwise it gets very confusing.

If you pilfer a uniform in Talmberg and escape through the gate, meaning the village guards will ignore you, you can also collect a treasure chest near the pond behind the bath house. Later in the game it will be guarded by an armed poacher, but at that point it is completely unguarded.

just kill the merc in there not that hard and you get good weapons and armor

the chest is still there with everything in it right at the start of the Homecoming quest, before getting into skalitz.

I just went looting this chest and everything was there, I have to say I looted it much later in the game.

Armor, mace and Necklace and groschen are removed.
Axe, ring and someting else (i dont remember) has left. <- checked on hardmode. With all those items above early game would've been too easy.

This is one of the treasure map locations. It's there from the start of the game, not just during the homecoming mission. That mace is one of the best maces in the game.
