The main point of the game varies from innocent (or inno), and detectives to Traitors (or T). The point
For the innocents, and detective(s) is to find the crimes the traitors committed and to kill the traitors. The point of the traitors is to murder everything but other traitors. Over the course of the guide I’ll explain some tactics to win as both sides. And if you’re wondering the image of the guide is my profile pic :P.

The innocents are the majority of players on the server, and are also referred to as inno. The main tactic is to stick in groups, but be careful some servers have custom weapons. One of those weapons that traitors can buy is a jhad this kills the traitor, but everyone around him too so be wary when on a server with that weapon. Stay vigilant and stick to detectives, like traitors detectives also have a menu where they can buy items with points for doing their job right. As an inno make sure you call out who you're with so if you die people know that the person you were with is most likely guilty and should be KOS (killed on sight.) Also make sure to call out live checks in which anyone who doesn't respond is to be killed on sight. That helps to get a feel on how many people are left because you cant see the amount of living and dead people like traitors can. Also if you kill a traitor call you that you are "proven" this tells everyone you can be trusted as an inno, but watch out I tend to target "proven innocent" to help ruin trust. Also remember to check every body you see. If you are hurt ask a detective to supply you with health he might ask you tell him why then just give him a reason. One thing to watch out for are trollers they could be inno, a detective, even a traitor. Most trollers RDM,or random death, where they just decide to kill everyone no matter if they are inno or not. Most servers punish rdm by slaying, blinding, banning/kicking. Remember never trust anyone but the "proven", and detectives. If you hear gun shots and you see a guy running from where you heard the shots 9 times out of 10 he is a T.Unless he said out loud he killed him. Still I wouldn't trust him. If the person he killed is un id murder that guy ASAP. Another thing to note is that people that have no name when you look at them are T's kill them without question. As an inno freely guard the T testers. (more on T testers later.) Also note if you encounter a fight kinda sit it out and make the survivor check the other guy's body if the other guy is inno well you either have 1 of 3 things: A T, An rdmer, A very unlucky inno. I put a cap in their heads just in case (it doesn’t always work, but you gotta kill the T's and that helps widdle down the players.) I don't suggest RDM as a method of wining, but if someone is really quite and suspicious I will kill them. That’s my personal preference do this at your own risk. One thing I hate is when servers don't allow you to kill people following you or on suspicion. This ruins the inno's chance of survival by a lot, so i do it on every server no matter the rules. On the topic of survival one way to survive is to "lone wolf" it. This arouses lots of suspsion though so be wary, I don't fully suggest this, but on larger maps it's what I do. Oh, and don't hide in TTT just don't. Well if you like a nice bullet in your face do it, but if you don't then don't.(no pun intended!)

One of the hardest things to do in TTT is being a detective. This is because the inno want to be around you, and traitors often try to blend in as the inno to get up on the detective then shoot the detective in the back. There really is no way to counter this but I usually say if anyone gets near me I will open fire or something though lots of servers have a rule against killing people for looking or following you so my tactic sometimes gets canceled out. One important thing for detectives is to find dead bodies. When you find a body you can use your DNA scanner and find the killer. Though DNA goes away after some time some weapons do not offer DNA when they kill someone, and some weapons burn bodies so you cant even find them. Also some maps allow traitors to get rid of bodies making your job a lot harder. If you find an inno proven, allow him to be your sidekick and allow him to help you solve crimes with you. Though don't take their word for it make sure you witness the body of the traitor, and that THEY killed him use the DNA scanner and make sure it goes to him, and not someone else. Late in the game make sure you do a live check, and call a kos on anyone who doesn't respond. If only a few people respond make sure to buy radar from your equipment store by pressing C on your keyboard from there you have a large assortment of things you can buy just make sure you don't just waist your points though. Among the large amount of things you can buy you can purchase health stations to heal you and others, or a defuser to defuse C4 that traitors place. Another thing is to make sure to look out for C4 it can be spotted or you can hear a beeping noise it's better to run from the area than to stick around and try to find it. If you do manage to find a defuse the C4 it offers DNA to use and find the traitor who attempted to murder you all. If a random inno asks you for a health station ask, him to give you a reason if you don't like his reason don't give him one it's that simple. Also as a detective you have control over everything pretty much. If you call a KOS 9 times out of 10 the innocents will murder that person without much question. Remember with power come responsibility if you call a bad KOS some servers consider that RDM and that would provide punishment for you. Some maps have things called traitor testers GUARD THESE WITH YOUR LIFE AND KOS ANYONE WHO DOESN'T TEST! Traitor testers tell you if someone is innocent, and a traitor they are a huge friend in TTT, but that brings up another problem traitor rooms. T rooms are rooms where only traitors can go in and out on many maps these block off traitor testers like the map the67thway a T room blocks you off from the traitor tester, there is always a T there just make sure you have an inno guarding it.

The most fun to play as is the traitor. Why? Because you can cause so much panic, and mistrust in such an easy way. As a T try to act like other innocents but if you find one all by his lonesome only be afraid to murder him if you calls out that he is with you. One way to cause the inno to turn on one another is to grab a sniper and shoot one inno in the back NOT THE HEAD the head instant kills for the mistrust to happen shoot him in the back, and most of the time he will turn around and shoot the other inno thinking they are traitors this is really funny if you do it right. Also call out who you're with so you don't act like I’m not afraid because I’m a traitor no if you do that than others won't believe your stories about murdering people. One great way to get people to think you’re an inno is to fake being "proven" and gain the trust of the server then use it against them. Once you have their trusts abuse it and be creative with it you could come up with some fun things to do >:D. Remember NEVER GET TESTED IN A TRAITOR TESTER!!!!! If you do then you’re done for!!!!!! Some maps allow you to destroy traitor test DO THAT, but only when no one is around. Remember if there are more than one persons around be careful about murder if you stab one guy in the back with a knife the pop the other guy in the face with a shot gun you come out unscratched and with two innocents dead. NEVER ID BODYS only id bodies if you are around other innocents. Every time you ID a body it shows that they are dead and if you press tab as an inno it shows who is alive and dead though it is only affected when a body is ided this goes for detectives too though detectives can buy radars. Traitor's body count thing (don't know the name for it xD) is affected every time someone dies! use this to your advantage if it's just you and another person you can get near them and tell them you two need to work together then pop the guy in the back of the head! C4 is a great add-on to your arsenal press C on your keyboard then like the detective you can pick from lots of stuff like a radar yes traitors get radars too, and lots of other stuff. Use C4 to trap areas like traitor testers or rooms and areas that are moved around in frequently but watch out you can kill yourself and other traitors with your C4 thankfully all traitors know where C4 is by a large icon where the armed C4 is and yes you need to arm it press E on the C4 to open up the GUI and you can mess around with it the shortest amount of time till it blows up is 40 sec unless the server has a plugin that says otherwise. Traitor rooms are SO HELPFUL!!! Use these to get around the map or trap and kill innocents and detectives. Note not all maps have T rooms, but quite a few do. Also HIDE BODYS if you hide a body from them it helps you so much. Swap to your magnito stick and right click them then hide the body.
