E.g. Big Shots in Tokyo prefer Rustic over Superior...
- for a good furniture rating of roughly 70% you need to delete some of the chairs after getting the 3 star interior designer so that on each table there are only 2 chairs (opposite of each other but I don't know if it matters.)
- having the politician character trait to +3 helps with keeping the mayor happy. specialist too probably. i usually downgrade gangster and guards because it's less relevant. in the first mission you can use your extra cash to rent 8 restaurants, this will improve your politican trait by +4.
- home delivery can be very useful. the guests don't occupy seats and delivery guys are cheaper than service employees
- in general hire personel until you see some of each sitting idle. pizzas are so lucrative that you don't want to miss out on any sales.
Influence you can gain by having high quality wares and staff, win a ton of pizza competitions against your rivals and of course advertising across the map.
and if I remember correctly, one of your character skills will increase influence aswell.
