God's Trial

Introduction

God's Trial (often abbreviated GT) is an instance designed to help players level quicker. The instance opens every day at 12:00-13:30 and 19:30-22:30 server time, and players are permitted to enter once a day.
Each day a player does not complete God's Trial, that missed run will be stored, allowing the player to run an extra time another day. Stored runs can also be converted into Experience Aid. The maximum number of runs that can be stored is three.

Modes

There are two separate modes: Normal and Mentor.
Normal mode means you are paired up with a group of similar level players and you will gain regular experience since the monsters are around your level.
Mentor mode is for when a level 40 player parties with with at least one person half of that level. Example: level 41 priest, 20 bard, 35 protector, 40 warrior, 37 assassin, and 39 vampire would usually enter God's Trial in Mentor mode.

Notes for Mentor Mode

If you're still in your 20's~30's (level wise) you're considered to be the "Mentored", therefore the Dark Crystals will be available to you. Click on the Glowing Dark Purple Crystals, that hang from the ceiling in the inner circle of the GT room, to gain extra experience from it. Each person can 'click' a maximum of 20 Glowing Dark Purple Crystals.

Advanced GT

Starting from level 35, you are available for an Advanced God's Trial, commonly referred to as "AGT/agt". How to get into an AGT through the auto-party system is currently unknown, and believed to be random depending on who signed up for what, as well as what mode you've chosen (normal/mentor).
The currently known way for a 100% chance to get into an AGT is to get a full party, and sign up manually at NPC San Juan' near Angeal Temple.

God's Trial Objectives

There are 6 pillars the players must protect within a time limit through killing all monsters from that element. There are 20 monsters for every pillar. Once every pillar is done, the final boss spawns in the middle. Kill him and he will drop a random gem, which the players can roll for.
In Mentor mode its slightly different. Instead of going to the pillar of your choice, the computer chooses one randomly which the party must defend until all the monsters are defeated. Between each swarm, there will be a 30 second waiting period.

Specifics

Advanced GT is slightly harder than a regular, normal, GT. The first way to tell if you are in a normal GT upon entering is if all pillars are already set in their places.
AGT starts with one pillar at a time, meaning mobs attack only one pillar at a time. But be careful! These mobs are a lot stronger than the mobs in normal GT; if left unattended, the pillar can go down relatively fast.
While killing the mobs in AGT you have a rare chance at a mini boss after every pillar you finish, however, it is rare to see two bosses in a single GT. The mini-bosses drop an embeddable gem.

Important Note: Saving a statue DOES NOT STOP the spell circles from working, like in a normal GT. Instead, saving a pillar allows you to gain certain buffs from the saved pillar.

The buffs are as presented below.

Fire gives you 10% AP per stack, 10 stacks max.
Water recovers 2% MP per second for 5 seconds.
Earth gives you 10% Def per stack, 10 stacks max.
Wind gives you 10% Movement speed per stack, 10 stacks max.
Dark gives you 1% Crit chance per stack, 10 stacks max.
Light recovers 2% HP per second for 5 seconds.
