Magnus can easily be a jungler, with some bottlecrowing. Kill smallcamp with empower, while stacking closest big camp, if you can stack&pull shortlane. When you have lvl 2 shockwave, start killing stacked camp while bottlecrowing. If you dont have a rich support on team, get mekanism before dagger. Magnus is often most useful as a 3 or 4th role.
