Even though the general thinking is in the direction of correlating "the best car" with "the fastest car" in racing games, the reality is that it is not %100 true. TDU2 is a game with long straights, but it is also a game with tight corners. Having the car with the highest top speed is beneficial for the former, but on the other hand for the latter, the highest top speed is no good if you are constantly going around corners. For that situation, I would prefer a better handling and an accelerating car. I wrote this guide based on this and my in-game experiences. Also, for the best performance from your car, remember to tune it and increase its performance as much as you can.

I did not want to hold this guide long by going into details of the prices of the cars, their stats on speed and acceleration, which dealership you should go for that particular car etc. for that they are easily accessible on the internet.

Also, there are many best car lists for TDU2 across the internet, but they seem like neglecting the DLC cars. That guides are outdated. This is up to date.

This is the class that we start the game with. In my first playthrough, I selected the Mustang, but the car was simply not fast enough to get you wins. Just go buy Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione and bully Miami Harris (your main rival with this class).

Even though the wreck Jaguar D-Type is really decent, your choice should be Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole.

You can actually go with Range Rover Sport HSE considering that you will obtain Touareg from a duel later on, but if you want to have the fastest car for each championship go with this one: Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.

You can really get the job done with Mercedes ML63 AMG, but Spyker D8 Peking-to-Paris is the clear winner between the two.

Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independent may seem faster on paper, but in rainy conditions if you are using automatic clutch the car stucks at gear 1 or 2 when climbing. Learnt it through the hard way. You should definitely go with Volkswagen Golf(6) GTI.

Were you a fan of WRC? Subaru Impreza WRX STI was an immediate purchase for me and it turned out to be the fastest one in its class. Just look at the blue.

Now we are in a class where a DLC car is the best option: Audi RS 5 Coupe. Since the servers are up and down, I don't think that you can purchase this car, but you can go around it.
Just walk towards the sales lady in the car showroom, try to buy a car from her that is in the base game and quickly press "down arrow" as much as needed to hit the dlc car. Congrats,
you have a dlc car for free.

Caterham R500. It is a DLC car again. (Do the tip on A5 to get it.) This car may not have the highest top speed in its class, but it accelerates like a rocket. It has an oversteer problem causing the car to spin around if you don't how to tame it, but once you understand how the car handles, you will be 10+, 20+ seconds ahead of your opponents depending on the length of the race.

There is also another Caterham (CSR 260) in A3 which is from the base game, but that one's acceleration is much slower and it doesn't have a higher top speed either. It's how broken R500 is.

Ferrari California is a decent choice as well but since Ferrari's cannot be tuned, Aston Martin DBS prevails over the other. You will win every race with ease. If you want a fancier version of DBS, get the DLC Carbon Black one.

There are many frontrunner cars in A2. The options if you want to call one car the best is various in this competition unlike the others. I found Ferrari 430 Scuderia the best car in the base game because of how it handles and how fast it accelerates but given that you can't tune Ferrari's, my choice is Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR which is a DLC car. It has a good looking bodywork too. I remember reaching 400+ with a fully tuned one.

Just get Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport (DLC) if you have the in-game money. It's a plane on the ground ready to take off with 468 km (fully tuned).

Unfortunately, Koenigsegg CCXR may stuck at shifting in automatic clutch if it is rainy and you are climbing.
