I feel you buddy. First time I made it this far into chap 2 I was instantly attacked when going out, then somehow bandaged up enough to go out again and look for the old bear only to get lost in a blizzard and be shredded multiple times and not playing for... 2-3 years?
However many years it was, I played again a couple of months ago and they changed the quest with the bear. And I've also hindsightedly learned that the rifle is absolutely useless against it ♥ (It's still a questline which gives your pump a run, but now it's a good kind of adrenaline.)
