i simply take my spare time and put it towards something constructive that pays off as i said, im working towards my kids future :D
im actually developing my first game right now while taking a course in computer science and learning how to code with C#. working full time is just something everyone has to do, i used to wanna build houses for a living, but after playing games for so long i decided i want to create them!
i wouldn't consider that choices, im making good choices, and maybe using 20 hours a week to a video game a bad choice :D (not being rude just making point) but to each their own, there was a point where i used to play alot of games and that was very recent, i only started taking classes this year, i have 500 wasted ours in PUBG that i wish i could get back :D
Its also cool that you have kids, hopefully you show them creative games such as Total Miner, Minecraft or other open world games of similar kind as these games are pretty much perfect for kids and teens. It would've been amazing to play these games with my dad but thats decades ago when open world games were pretty much still in their infancy.
