Stock up on health packets. You have to make them! Scavenge a ton of medicinal leaves and oil. The best way to get fish oil is from fishing. It is better than waiting for the traps to catch small fish. You can have lots of grubs by chopping down large trees. You will know them when you see them. You will be able to attack the cougars and use health packs so you don't die. You need lots of sinew for crafting clothing gear.
