Running Snares of Ruin on Linux/Mac

Running the game on Linux through Wine didn't work for me (frequent crashes, no sound). Here's how to run it in a web browser as a workaround. Obviously you won't have access to Steam features (time tracking & achievements), but at least the game should run without issues.

Install Steam via Wine. There are plenty of guides out there already.

Install Snares of Ruin.

Open the installation folder. Inside is a folder called "www". The full path should be something like ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Snares of Ruin/www.

Open the file index.html in Firefox. (Won't work in Chrome. May work in other web browsers; untested.)

Thanks! Wine has improved a lot since I tried playing this.

Wanted to point out it would work on linux using the launch parameter WINEDLLOVERRIDES="libglesv2.dll=d" %command% --single-process without problems. Would help people visiting this guide, You can now play it through steam with this option.
