I've got 8 point in it going into Stones River and thinking I'd have been better off with less and putting more points in politics since manpower became such an issue after Antietam culled my 4 full corps down to 3, then Fredricksburge culled it down to 2 after which I rebuilt III Corps into a half strength corp of 3 divisions while 4th corp is barren. Heh. So, what's your advice?

I will say that the first battle (Confederate campaign) was a breeze after I realized I needed to ignore the game's deployment advice and just defend the fort.
