I dont have any idea about texture tutorials honestly, since I already knew hoe to use before making assets I never saw the need to check one. But since you are new, better stsrt with an actual program that is PS instead of gimp or alike. Check out simptropolis community they can help you with tips and specific help

Yea for modelling vehicle tutorials are easy to find like you say , but can’t find anything specifically dealing with vehicle texturing.i have modelled something already getting it textured that’s where I’m stuck. I’ve never used blender before a month ago . The softwares are new to me .

I dont use gimp, for texturing the only application i use is Adobe Photoshop. Blender is only for modeling. As for tutorials, I can't give you something specific since it's been a long time I'm using both programs, but blender tutorials are easy to find and learn
