Okay first, Click the little DNA Icon labelled "World Map"











It'll bring you to a fancy 3D globe with a bunch of dig sites, for the sake of this guide we'll go to the Wessex Formation, now click the dig site.












After that, it'll bring you to a menu that allows you to select "dig sites" or "black market". Dig sites are... self explanatory you get a chance of getting the animal/skin with each option increasing your chances (as far as I can tell). For this guide I'm using Dig sites as the example but it's just as easy to use the black market, just select the quality of item you'd like!











Now, select whichever option you'd like with the third taking longest, costing the most and giving the highest chance of getting an animal (pretty self explanatory)

Then after the dig site returns from the expedition after the alloted time open the crate (it'll do it automaticall) and if you're lucky Boom! Baryonyx!

Okay! You've now got your animal unlocked, but how the buggery do you make the little guy in your hatchery?

First things first, build your pen. Make it all pretty and add your hatchery











(Hatchery in buildings under core blocks)











Now click the "Core Blocks" tab in the menu you've been using to get around. It's since changed from Core Blocks to "Hatchery" with a green Yoshi-styled egg












In this menu you'll want to hover over the egg icon on the right, it'll highlight your hatchery in a white outline, this'll be your only hatchery (assuming this is the first time you're playing ^^) so it's more a thing to worry about later in game.











Now click that little egg and it'll bring you to the "book of life" as i've seen it referred to on the forums











Now select the animal (again in this case, Baryonyx walkeri) and click continue!











This will allow you to make a choice in regards to the animals skin and give you a nice little fact profile about the animal in the game

Click create and away you go! That'll set your animal off to be born and eventually it'll tick out of the hatchery and be free! Don't forget to add food and water to your enclosure (Herbivore/Carnivore food, water pond)
