This is a pack of both vehicle and prop.

Allegiant Air is an American low-cost airline that operates scheduled and charter flights. It is wholly owned by Allegiant Travel Company, a publicly traded company with 3,700 employees and over $2.6 billion USD market capitalization. Allegiant MD80's are to be replaced by end of 2018 with Airbus family aircraft.

I think the safety issues stemmed from Allegiant's deferred maintenance program - they just weren't doing proper maintenance. Delta operated the MD-88/MD-90 for years without major incident.

@j4lambert - It is very sad, but the MD-80 family has had many saftey cautions that has caused troubles for Allegiant especially.
