Step 1: Downloading the necessary files

Download this file. It contains everything you need for the next step. You'll need a Zip Archiving Software. You can Download WinRAR here: https://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x64-550.exe

Step 2: Locating your game files

Once you've downloaded the files, make your way to the game files. This can be done by right clicking on the game in Steam, clicking Properties, making your way over to the Local Files tab, and clicking Browse Local Files.

Step 3: Putting the necessary files into the game files

Now that you've downloaded and located everything, you're gonna want to move the files from the file you just downloaded into the game files.

Step 4: Making the music work

Make your way to a file called filesystem in the game files. Right click and open it with Notepad.

Once you are inside the Notepad, type in playlist.bfs

Click file, save, then you can exit.

Conclusion

Launch the game, and hear the nostalgia hit you like a School Bus.

For the newcomers here who are modding this onto their Steam Deck, be careful when using KWrite to add the playlist.bfs line into the filesystem file. When you save it adds an extra line with no text on it which will cause your game to crash on launch with the "Cannot open file:" error.

that nexus mod doesnt work it gives me a notepad file that doesnt do anything but not respond

I got the mod elsewhere and it works fine, although it doesn't play during Stunt Mode as someone else mentioned.

Though it's unlikely I'll ever be putting in those local multiplayer party mode hours in FlatOut Ultimate Carnage like I did way back in the day on 360. :sadface:
