Magical Barriers
By SyntaxError
I. Intro

I dont know if this is helpful or not. There are usually magical barriers in the dungeons, to get past these you must simply do a task. Also I hear thanks to the user Tetsmega that some barriers are depleated by doing objectives from the dragon statues. Like for the first dungeon there are 4 switches in which you have to press in order to open the barrier's boss room. Once they are activated there are these gargoyles statues that are infront of the barriers which you must press that will lead you into the boss room. Once the boss is defeated the barrier is gone and you may proceed. In the first dungeon:

II. Walkthrough

1. At the start of the dungeon you are in a huge room, if you go down the first set of stairs outside this room you will find yourself in this hallway. To your left there is passage that has been blocked, to your right there is another that has a few zombies and beatles (looks like giant ♥♥♥♥ roaches to me). Take that passage and you will find a stairway to your left, up there is switch #1.

2. After the first switch go back through the zombies and bugs, and you will end up where you have started. Now go right, and there is a drop off, you could either drop off or take the stairway down on your left next to the closed tunnel. Once down, you will find yourself in a bigger room then before, faceing the room, make your way towards the left, and you will see a small passage in the wall on your right. Go into this little space and you will find switch #2 as well as a chest that you cannot open yet.

3. From that room go out into the big room again, go directly across to the right side of the big room. Hug that wall till you come up to a stairway that goes up. There you will find yourself in a little room, theres a chest you cant access and if you turn around there will be switch #3.

4. Ok the last one is a tiny bit challenging only because there is a few pretty tought baddies down the passaged way. To get to this switch leave switch #3 and go back into the big room, and go straight across to a big stairway that leads upward. Theres really only one way you have to go up here, to your left. There you will run into this warrior guy (forgot his name) whom is pretty tough. I recommend guarding and attacking at the right time, tho he will charge up an attack when he starts to glow orange yellowish color move out of the way when he does this because this attack cannot be stopped with your shield. Once this fool is dead, keep going down that passage and you will find yourself in another room. This room is a bit wider, and there are these Living Dead zombies, their attacks are the same except they have this posion ability. They use it when they charge up just like the warrior guy. Once you get past these guys the last switch is at the end of that hallway, switch #4.

Lastly: Now go all the way back to the big room, go to the end of the room (from your right if your coming from switch #4) and you will see a adventures guild dude that will give you quests (with decent cash rewards). Beside him is the barrier on the other side of the barrier is a gargoyle statue press it, and it will say something about, you need to press the switches blah blah, and it should turn red (if it turns orange you missed a switch or two). Press it again, and it teleports you to a boss room which have a few zombies to kill. Once you defeat them the barrier is depleated and you may proceed.

III. Notes

Note: The adventures guild dude has a quest to kill 20 beatles I found it easier to find beatles once past the barrier for there is a room with a few zombies and like 2 beatles that spawn rather quickly.

Note #2: Also note that once you break the barrier it is broken for all the characters you make with your soulname so you really do not have to go through hitting switches each time you make a new character.

Note #3: Heres another thing i found out it has nothing to do with barriers or what not, but its nice to know. You know when you create your character once you select whom you wanna be you get a random roll of points. I dont know if you know this or not, but the max points you can get is 70, its rare to get past 12 (at state I was lucky to get a 28 when making my elf mage). You can keep re-rolling your chances by canceling your character selected, then reselecting them over and over.

Anyways thanks for reading, and I hope this is helpful.

Nice Tetsmega but i really havent gotten very far into the game due to the issues they have to connect, so haven't seen one of those yet but ill add it to the guide.

You forgot to mention somewhere that most barriers are broken by completing the objective from the dragon statue.
