A working example
All you have to do is use all the colours in a painting.
If you are having troubles earning this achievement, you can simply do as I did:

EDIT: As some comments have pointed out, the trick might lie in leaving some canvas unpainted (as in, keep the white background somewhere in your painting)
and a NON working example
I went for something less "arsty" and more bold because my first experiment:

didn't trigger it.
As I'm pretty sure I've used all the colours here too, I'm assuming the program can't recognize all the colours it they're too mixed (or if some have a too small percentage of the painting).

You would need the white colour from the canvas to get it right?

To get this, just put all the colors from the pallete on but leave some background color.

I'm pretty sure at least some part of the canvas needs to remain visible, since it's a slightly different color than the "white" on your palette. Also I tried a rainbowwy full-canvas one using every palette color early on that didn't work, but later on when I made a thin stripe of each color with blank canvas between them, it did.

ooh, never think of that! I assumed they intended all the colors in your palette, but it's also possible they intended palette + canvas ..I guess only the devs can clear the doubts for us ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

maybe the base background color(white) counts as a color?

Thanks for making this guide, it helped me out. Also i must compliment you on putting this guide in the singular, proper category as most folk put their guides everywhere in order to further the attention they gain. :steamhappy:
