How to Add Post-Processing Effects
By •ShyVortex•
Introduction

Hi guys, and welcome into my TWD: S2 Guide. Today I'll show you how to add post-processing effects to the game, enhancing the graphics by modifying colours, lightning, shaders and shadows. NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE TO GAME FILES, so that means that textures won't unluckily improve.

We all know that Telltale Games released the collection edition of TWD for consoles only, made up of all the nineteen episodes (TWD S1, S2, S3 + Michonne), visually enhanced. Even if we cannot reach that level, modifying shader and shadows colours may be like a graphic update for us.

First Step

First, we must download a program called "SweetFX Configurator", that will work not only for this game but for almost all games.
You can download it : HERE![sweetfx.thelazy.net]

Second Step

Then, we must open the program we downloaded.
Go to "Add new game", then go to TWD S2 directory (it should be like this: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead Season Two) depending on where you installed the game, and after that select TheWalkingDead2.exe.
Then go to "Add SweetFX" in the top-right corner.

Third Step

Now a lot of options showed up. I'll show you what to activate in my opinion and what you should keep disabled.

-Activate SMAA Anti-Aliasing (or keep it normal if it's already activated), and don't touch anything.

Then, Activate LumaSharpen (or keep it like that if it's already activated).
In "Category details", go to sharp_strenght and write 1.00 instead of the default value.

-Activate "Bloom", then go in "BloomThreshold" in Category details and write 21.25 instead of 20.25.
Then go to "BloomPower" and write 1.200 instead of the default value.
Leave "BloomWidth" to default values.

-Activate "HDR", then go in "HDRPower" in Category details and write 1.40 instead of the default value.
Then go to "radius2" and write 0.92

-Activate "Vibrance" (or don't touch if it's already activated), then go to Vibrance in category details and write 0.05 instead of the default value.

-Activate "Vignette".
Go to "VignetteAmount" and write -0.53 instead of the default value.

So, here we are, now the game should look a bit better, with better shader and shadows colours. I hope you enjoy the new graphics.
If you don't like the effects, you can just disable them by going to "Remove SweetFX" in the top-right corner.

Enjoy :D

If you didn't understand something, I will update the guide.

Actually, it works for me on The Witcher 2, so it will be ok here too :)

Well, no. It's a 512 mb one. Worth a shot i guess. :)

It depends on what GPU you have. For example, I have a GTX 1050 and the performance is exactly the same as before SweetFX. I think that if you have a 1GB+ VRAM Graphic Card you should be okay even with SweetFX settings, because luckily this game is not poorly optimized :)
