✎ Gear | Runes | Frames | Artefacts
Gear:
  • Look out for chest / head / amulet with +FIN +Warfare or +Scoundrel, Belts have rare RNG rolls to have Dual-Wielding opt on them so keep an eye out.

  • Use the Unique Glove Second Skin found in Act 1. Why use a level 6 gloves you might ask?
    • Only glove with Offensive Opts: +1 Finesse, +1 Huntsman, both contribute to damage dealing.
    • Only glove with a rune slot: +3 Finesse from Power Framed - Giant Venom Rune.
    • Most RNG gloves have +Wits/Critchance which is not really crucial because daggers can Backstab for crit attacks.
    • Having low armours rating does not matter when enemies can't hit you or busy getting knocked down or killed before they get to act.

  • There are a lot of uniques for Rogue in Act 4 that you can use:
    • Nazad Hunola (Chest): +5 Finesse, +2 Scoundrel,...
      (below Sanguinia Tell basement)
    • Lord Ruaney's Boots: +7 Finesse, Set Erratic Wisp,...
    • Lord Ruaney's Britches: +3 Wits, +2 Scoundrel, +1 Sneaking, +6 Initiative
      (below Adramahlihk basement)

  • Use Rings with +Warfare +Scoundrel

  • For Weapons, look out for +Finesse +Dual Wielding. And preferably ones with rune slot. Once you are in Arx, an unique dagger Domoh Dumora is hidden in Arhu place (shown at 4:34 in Showcase Video above). It's a good dagger for level 20-21, but once you hit level 22 → switch back to leveled dagger.

Runes:
  • Amulet: Venom Rune (+9/12/15% Accuracy)

  • Armour Venome Rune(+9/12/15% Poison Resistance)

  • Weapon: Masterwork Rune (+9/11/13/15% physical damage)

Frames:
  • Amulet: Power Venom (+2/3 Finesse)

  • Armour Power Venom (+2/3 Finesse)

  • Weapon: Mystical Masterwork(+2/3 Wits)

Eternal Artefacts:
It can't be REMOVED once plugged and they are also LIMITED, so only use when you know for sure that piece of gear is going to be with you for a looong time.
  • Helmet: +2 Finesse, +1 Huntsman
  • Belt: +2 STR , +1 Warfare
  • Rings: +1 Scoundrel, +10% Poison Resistance
✎ Abilities Setups
Early Game (1~9)
  • Backlash: Dealing damage to targeted enemy then land right behind it back.

  • Battle Stomp: pretty decent aoe radius in a straight line, dealing 90% dmg and set knockdowns on enemies, also clear surfaces.

  • Battering Ram Rush foward to your target, can use as a gap closer as well as to set knockdown on your enemies.

  • Adrenaline: Gain 2 AP for this turn but lose 2 AP on the next turn ( a tradeoff), use it when you need to confirm a kill to trigger Executioner talent or when you really want to setup some defensive buffs or just simply want to finish off some high threat targets.

  • Cloak: Grants Invisible status, temporarily safe-guard you from all enemies.

  • Teleportation: use this to gather enemies close together to hit multiple targets with Cripple Blow or just simply want to gather enemy close for AoE clearing.

  • Cripple Blow: Sweep attack deal damage to all characters near it. Strong single target attack, but can also use to hit multiple targets, because the aoe range is small → enemies have to be very close to each other (use Teleportation)

  • Sawtooth Knife: Does Piercing Damage, deal damage straight into enemy HP and ignores Physical Armour. Combo with Skin Graft to get double Sawtooth Knife, allowing you to kill enemy without breaking it armour.

  • Whirlwind: big aoe attack. You can use it to quickly soften enemy physical armours around you then follow with a Battle Stomp next for guarantee knockdowns.

  • Uncanny Evasion: Grants you 90% dodge and cause most attacks to miss except magic spells. So kill the mages, then this spell is pretty much safe-guard you from all harm from any physical threats.

  • Death Wish (situational): boost damage based on missing max HP (e.g: 1HP = 99% dmg boost)

  • Haste (scrolls): +1 Start/Recovery AP. You can pre-cast it to get 7AP starting AP, then combine with Flesh Sacrifice and you have 8 AP in the beginning of the battle.

  • Cloak n Dagger: a mobility skill that available to your kit early in the game when needed. It also does not break Invisibility/Sneak.

  • Throw Knife (situational): Finish enemy from afar, especially useful when fighting against "bombers" who explode on death such as: Bloody Corpses or Eternal Stalkers.

  • Frost Armour (scrolls): Boost Magic Armour, remove many debuffs

  • Fortify (scrolls): Boost Physical Armour, remove many debuffs.

Mid Game (9~16)
  • Skin Graft: reset all cooldowns.

  • Sleeping Arms (situational): apply Atrophy, use to disable enemy who use weapons such as Knight, Archer, Assassin..etc

  • Daggers Drawn: A combo of 5 stabs dealing strong single target attack.

  • Fan of Knives (situational): Throw knives to every targets in range, use to finish multiple targets from range. It is also can be used as a powerful single target attack when cast it from the rear while standing super close behind an enemy
    > (watch video at 9:35 in Showcase Video to see performance)

  • Living on Edge (situational): you cannot die for 2 turns, health can't be reduced below 1HP.

Late Game (16~22)
  • Peace of Mind: Great Wits boost and decent Damage boost.

  • Apotheosis: SP Cost -3 for all source powers. You can use Source powers with no Source cost for 2 turns. You will also get a small boost on all stats like Finesse and Wits.

  • Mortal Blow: Powerful single target attack as Damage is doubled (x2) when you attack from Stealth. You can combo it with either Cloak or Invisiblity Potion then follow up with Mortal Blow to deal double damage

  • Overpower: Strong single target attack, can set knockdown.

You can add a mod that uncaps the lone wolf nerf in the definitive edition to follow this guide:

hello how to increase max stats because i can only give 40 for example fin
Lost Sinner  [author] 8 Sep, 2021 @ 4:12pm
• Keep in mind i haven't update this guide as i've moved on to other games, so it only follows old rules of Classic Edition but not Definitive Edition.

• It doesn't change much outside of lower cap of attributes (40) and combat skills (10). You can still raise attributes and skills above hard caps, but only coming from equipments or unique talents.

• Lone Wolf chars will reach cap very fast, so you'll eventually have to distribute your points elsewhere, Wits allow Rogue to crit without forcing yourself to position behind enemy for backstabs all the times at late game.

• Both Ranger/Spellcaster will perform better at late game compared to Rogue, due to better scaling and much more impactful spells. Although Rogue is easier to play early on because they get guarantee crits from backstabbing.

i want to try my very first run with lone wolf talent, i'm really excited that this game has one.
is Wits really that important for rouge? is 70 Fin enough for lategame? How well do you fare in tactician mode?
I don't plan on using sneaking or persuasion, just killing all the way. do you think ranger or spellcaster can do better than rouge?
Divine 27 Feb, 2021 @ 5:01am
Why don't you get Hothead early instead of all skilled up or bigger and better ? Do you deal with misses by loading back or what ? I miss a lot with 95% acc. Would i be lacking enough damage if i go for Hothead on lvl 8 ?
Lost Sinner  [author] 30 Dec, 2020 @ 9:10am
The Pawn doesn't work with Executioner, you can only choose one between the two. Hothead is generally meant is for late game convenience, so the Rogue can score crits without having to play around Backstabs when the positioning is off.
Mopey 30 Dec, 2020 @ 6:56am
i'm also slightly confused about the Hothead perk choice like Miarniar Joergsen pointed out previously. Why not pick something like The Pawn perk since the character is a rouge?

nice guide, it could work well with the DE if we tweak it, right?
I've tweaked it for Sebille.

On paper, I've replaced Bigger and Better by Guerilla and put all in sneaking instead of thievery (sounds good to have +40% damage for the 1st blow).
0 to Huntsman for a 10 in dual wielding.
Lesson in finesse for +2 finesse, +3 memory from Sebille story.
I get more raw damages and a sneaking rogue.

Here are the raw stats in the builder (no gear)
Sebille Rogue [divinity-2-planner.netlify.app]

Any thoughts?
what mods do you use?

Im curious about why u chose hothead there, isnt it kinda useless when backstabbing?
