To remove TAGES from the game you need to own either the GOG version of this game or you need to download the game from a place that only pirates sail, if you get what i mean. Note you should also do a complete un-install of TAGES before you perform this fix, to do so, run the Tages install client and proceed to un-install, you should be good to go. As an extra measure search you're C: Drive or where ever you have windows installed to, and there should be a folder named TAGES, there is usually one which holds some information on Riddick, delete this folder and you are set.


In the Steam folder for Riddick, go to the folder named 'System' within this folder is another named 'win32_x86' go to this folder and delete all the files from it except for the steam_appid txt file,
now place the GOG versions files from the same folder's into the steam versions win32_x86 folder.

After performing these steps the next time you launch the Game it should no longer require TAGES to run and should not ask you to enter you're CD-Key to activate. This should also fix for those whom are out of game activation's and can no longer re-new their activation's as this game is no longer supported.

Some in the comments below have mentioned that the Tages client now works and all you have to do is install the latest Tages drivers, whether or not this is true i do not know, what i will say however is that this guide is here as a way of permanently removing the DRM from the game.
