Aperture had other stuff before glados killed them, they had the gels, the fall boots, and the portal gun. And turrets. Besides, I think if you are running around from a crazed, roughe, super intelligent AI which has control of the entire building you are standing in, you will be too busy fruitlessly trying to survive to remember to shout a paradox.

it would be kind of hard to prep for somthing if you dont know its going to happen
