"This is a set of screenshots from a couple years ago when I initially started playing around in Hammer to try and make a map. It was never published, because it never got anywhere close the being finished. I just thought I would share a few screenshots now.

The idea was a one-map campaign where you fought your way into a castle, while the infected could attack you from up on the walls and through the arrow slits (with versus in mind here).
Once you reached the top tower and tried to use the radio, it would get struck by lightning before you could answer, so you would then have to collect gas cans to light up a bonfire and attract the attention of a helicopter.

That was the idea at least. The problem was that all the diagonally cut brushes caused me issues to no end because they would misalign upon saving and reloading. I didn't have the necessary knowledge to do proper map design from the onset, so it would have been an optimization nightmare, if I ever did finish it. Additionally, I never got as far as making the nav mesh, which would have been a massive amount of work. All the knowledge was salvaged and used to make the survival map that I then published.
