Drawing the flag
Creating a flag for Project 5: Sightseer is a matter of creating an image of the correct dimensions, saving it as a png file, and then getting the server's administrator to upload it.

Creating your flag

First, create an image in your favorite paint program with the dimensions of 512px x 512px or use this template image. Draw the flag in the upper 512px x 372px area of the image.

If your flag doesn't have any transparencies, you may want to bleed the final line of pixels in the remainder of the image to avoid a white or black line from appearing on the bottom of the flag. The UK flag included with the game is an excellent example of this.

Uploading the flag
If you are the administrator of a Project 5: Sightseer server, place the flag image in your local clients documents folder. On Windows this will be in: \Documents\Sightseer\Flags

Launch Project 5: Sightseer and in the chat window, if your image is called MyFlag.png, write /addFlag MyFlag

It will tell you how many bytes were uploaded and everyone will be able to access it by typing MyFlag into the flag's text field.

'Add an empty map named "Flags" in there'

That makes no sense.

so for people who don't have this: you need to go too (\Documents\Sightseer) and add a empty map named "Flags" in there yourself then drop your flag image in there otherwise it won't work

you can't do this for single player?

I get "Invalid Command" trying to: /addFlag <flag_name>

I do not have such a folder, when I create it and throw a flag, then in the game when I write a command, it does not add it:steamsad:

What is the best paint program for doing this?

Thanks for the info, it was perfect. Ok TBH I "stole" your template and with a little editing I have an ugly (no art talent) flag of my own, they will get better with practice.

PS: is there anyway to set the default flag to my creation? (such a pain getting the cursor on the skinny little pole to change it)

Thanks alot! Works fine for me. Not intuitive on how to make one, since Flags folder does not exist in Sightseers folder (in Documents) by default.
