Top 10 Gameplay Tips for Tronix Defender
Quick-start / Top tips guide

- The key to a good start in Tronix Defender is balancing Energy and Temps. Every tower you place uses energy constantly - and also generates higher-temps constantly. Use the Infobox (or see in the Unit-info section in the game) to find out exact Energy and Temp usages for each tower.

- The optimum start for each level is to use Blockers to block the path of the enemies - forcing them to take the longest route possible. Blockers also generate Energy, so this is 'killing two birds with one stone' as Blockers generate roughly 1/3 the Energy of Batteries at a much cheaper build-cost.

- If you're having trouble with Temp control - place a few Icers in random locations near the begining of the level as these also bring down Temps. Icers cool at approximately 1/3 the cooling of Coolers at a much cheaper build-cost.

- Upgrading Coolers or Batteries only changes their weapon-area-of-effect - it does not increase their cooling/generation power. If you're in a hurry but low on energy build three or four Blockers instead of a Battery.

- Factories are expensive but somewhat overpowered when upgraded - the upgraded factory-units can also atack enemy air units... use this to your advantage in the later stages of a level.

- The massive ? (question mark symbols) turn into enemy spawn points during the later stages of a level. Sometimes they generate ground units - othertimes air units - both will attack the nearest tower to them. Use the information guide to see which unit is which.

- If your Anti-Air is getting destroyed before it kills enemy air-units try upgrading them for better range - or you may want to protect it with a Repair tower. Repair towers repair other nearby towers and are very effective.

- Lasers and Flamers quickly destroy most enemies but they generate a LOT of heat - watch out for those Temps.

- Don't forget Batteries do damage to enemies! Theyre not just foir generating Energy - theyre seriously powerful short-range weapons as their lighting chains through upto 4 enemies.

- Don't give up! - If you're having troubles it's almost certainly due to your Energy/Temps balance - remember to place plenty of Blockers/Batteries at the begining of the level. And always remember Blockers and Icers are a cheap alternatives to Batteries and Coolers - but you'll need to build a few of them.
