1.FOB
It is a must have in every deck. Any game that runs longer than 20-30min will have you completely deplete a FOB so be sure to bring a second one especially when using ATGM or Artillery.

2.BRDM-2u
This is your primary Command Vehicle (CV). Placing a CV in a control zone will generate points that will enable you to buy more units. These units are expensive and should be heavily protected at all times.
The BRDM-2u is a good choice for your primary CV since its lightly armoured, but still cheap. This would enable you to move it out of the way in case of direct mortar fire that would otherwise kill a lighter CV.

3.UAZ-469B or Führungs UAZ
Both are the same unit from different nations. They are also CVs, but have no armor. Use them to capture zones behind your lines where it is safer, but since you have 4 BRDM-2u available you should use those armored once first. "Ribar" advises to use BRM-1K instead. It is more costly(250CP), but has added surviveability.

4.T813 or KOLOS
Both are the same unit from different nations.
Your standard resupply unit. It carries a fair load of supplies and is lightly armoured. For 25CP the ideal choice for resupplying your troops on the front line. Once dry make sure to send them back to your FOBs ASAP to keep your fighting units supplied.

5.Mi-26
It carries a lot of supplies, but is very vunlerable. If you have a safe spot and need to repair and resupply a lot of units this is your unit of choice. Its superior speed compared to the KOLOS makes it also come in handy on larger maps. It carries supplies worth half an FOB.
Recon
Recon is one of the most important aspects of W:EE. If you don't see your enemy, but he can see you, you have already lost the game.

1.AufKlFZ UAZVery Good optics and the low price of 30CP makes this a good light recon vehicle. It wont survive enemy fire and it cant defend itself, but it doesn't have to since its only purpose is to hide and observe. Some people myself included prefer Recon Infantry for this role, but the UAZ is easier to manage for a beginner.

2.BRM-1
The only ground vehicle in the entire game with exceptional optics. You can only ever buy 2, so make sure it stays alive. Cover the rest of the map with cheaper Recon and use one BRM-1 with your main force.

3.Mi-9
The only PACT helicopter with exceptional optics. Need to cover a big area or want to check out an unprotected flank quick, this is your recon of choice. Just be careful, because NATO AAA will shoot it down in no time if you get to close to the front line.
It is also a good place to get a feel for choppers.
Tank
Tanks are the back bone of every army. Their cannons kill Infantry, light Vehicles as well as other tanks. The only thing they really need to fear are other tanks and ATGM tank hunters. Don't get them to close to regular Infantry or into enemy woods, they are your babies. Protect them well and they will carry you to victory. Unlike NATO tanks their PACT counterparts often carry ATGM, but sometimes it is better to field cheaper tanks plus designated ATGM tank hunters.

1.KPz T-72G For 40CP you get an AP power of 7. The shot wont hit and the tank will die in time since it only has 5 front armor, but the mighty 7AP shot will damage moral and give the enemy another target while your real force takes aim. Consider this tank your cheap meat shield.

2.BMP 685
Its light quick and with 45CP very cheap, but you mainly want this tank for its accurate main gun that is perfect for killing light vehicles. Have it behind your T-72 meat shield, but in front of your tank hunters and target light vehicles like enemy ATGM Tank hunters.

3.T-62->...->T62M-V
The T62MV cant take much punishment for its price (95CP), but brings a great ATGMs and a good main cannon. The perfect fire support tank, just keep it protected since a hit on the side armor will mean instant death to almost 100CP. For cheaper Firepower "Ribar" recommends the T-T-55->...->T-55AMV-1: It is not as deadly or strong, but since its only 55CP it offers affordable firepower.

4.T-80->...->T-80U
For 160CP the T80U is the most expensive, but also best tank in the game. You can only buy 2, but they can take a lot of fire and have great ATGMs and a good cannon. As soon as the enemy sees them the game will evolve around taking them out. So be careful when it comes to enemy ATGM

5.TO-55
Another advise by "Ribar": Flamethrower Tanks are slow and their cannon is near useless, but when defending their flamethrower has a huge impact on enemy moral and is amazing against infantry. Having one in a defensive line might just tip the scale in your favor.
Infantry
Woods and Cover are more important in W:EE than in any other game and the Infantry rules the woods. There are Infantry units for almost every task from Recon over watch and Anti-Air, to Anti-Tank.
In this guide i will not mention ATGM infantry or AAA Infantry since its vehicle counter parts are more effective. Those Infantry units have a useful place in the game, but for a beginner I will try to keep it simple and as manageable as possible.

1.FJB-40+SPW-60PB
The cheapest recon Infantry for PACT with 30CP. Place them anywhere they can hide in every bush extremely well and give you vital intel.
Be sure to move the SPW-60PB somewhere else. Either down a road you hope is unprotected or save a couple of empty SPW-60PB for tasks later.
With the empty APCs(SPW-60P+SKOTs. etc) you accumulate during the match you can either try to sneak around the back and try to kill enemy CVs (SPW-60PB) or spearhead an attack to give the enemy something worthless to shoot at first (SKOTs).

2.(csech) MOTOSTRELCI + OT-64 SKOT-1
They are cheap and very effective with their short range Anti Tank weapons, put them into woods and buildings to defend them against vehicles and send the empty SKOTs back to safety. (csech) MOTOSTRELCI wont survive long in Infantry combat.

3.(polish) PIECHOTA ZMECH + OT-64 SKOT-1
Just as cheap as the (csech) MOTOSTRELCI, but more balanced towards Infantry combat. They are not really good at either so if you need Infantry for a suicide mission these guys are your first choice.

4.(polish) SPADOCHRONIARZE + OT-64 SKOT-1
Your elite Anti infantry unit for only 20CP. This unit is the reason why PACT infantry will beat NATO infantry in the woods 9 times out of 10.

5.(russian) MOTOSTRELKI + BMP-2->BMP-2D->BMP-2 obr 1986
For 60 points you will get one medium ATGM tank hunter BMP-2 obr 1986 that comes with an extra autocannon against light vehicles and infantry plus a cheap infantry unit to cover its flank. Not always the combination of choice, especially for the price, but quite useful to have available.

As mentioned by "Gear" in the comments the BMP-1->BMP-1 Obr. 1970->BMP-1P->BMP-1D is a good and cheap alternative.
In comparison the BMP-1P has an ATGM that is almost as good as the BMP-2 obr 1986s ATGM. It features the same protection and has only half the price (25CP instead of 50CP). The BMP-1P's main drawback is its main cannon with low accuracy and low damage instead of an Autocannon.
For 25CP you can also buy the BMP-1D that features a grenade launcher additionally to the main cannon for suppression fire.
Support
Support mainly covers 2 categories Anti-Aircraft (AAA) and Artillery.

AAA basically makes enemy attack choppers worthless when deployed correctly and is therefore a must have in every army. Without it your enemy will buy 1 chopper and just kill your army, unit by unit.

Artillery is also vital. They kill unarmored targets and suppress any units that survive. Make sure your Recon have eyes on so you get "corrected shot", but dont buy to much Artillery. They are expensive and eat up supplies like no tomorrow. Every point you dont spend in frontline units is a point that your enemy can use to overrun you faster thatn your Artillery can reload.

Should you face someone spamming Artillery you know 2 things:
1.They will run out of resupplies faster than you
2.You have more points on the ground than him
Use these pointers to your advantage:
Get your main army out of view.
Use single cheap units to attract his fire and make him waste ammo.
Search for a weak point in his lines to break him.
Destroy his Recon.

1.2K12KUB->9K37BUK->9K37 BUK-M1
The BUK-M1 is costly with 85CP, but will kill any helicopter in a 4200m radius. Have at least one follow your main force and maybe another one to cover your base.
Keep them resupplied since they only carry 4 missles.

2.2K22 Tunguska->2K22M Tunguska
Close range AAA with rockets and autocannon. Keep it next to your tanks and it will fire at helicopters and light vehicles that come to close for your liking.

3.BM-27 Uragan->BM-30 SmerchThe SMERCH launches a hail of rockets over the distance of almost any map. It eats a lot of supplies, but if you place one next to your FOB and choose your targets wisely you will not be disappointed. In the target area light vehicles will be damaged or destroyed and every unit will experience stun. A great way to start a counterattack.

4.TOS-1 Buratino
Instead of the Smerch or other artillery, I recommend the Buratino. It needs to get close so have it right behind your tank force. A corrected shot can destroy MBTs, let alone lighter armoured vehicles. The only drawback is that it needs constant resupply so have 2 KOLOS/T813 close at all time. "Ribar" argues that it is a bit to hard to use for beginners, but as long as it stays behind your tank hunters I think you should be fine.

5.257 PION->257M MALKA
For 90CP a piece this artillery is quite expensive. So if you plan on using it I advise to start with an army without Artillery and some extra FOBs and make 4 257M MALKA the first thing to buy during the game. A 4 piece MALKA strike with corrected shot will kill armored CVs so with good recon you can bomb your enemy out of contested areas. However, 360CP is a lot of money missing on the front line so choose wisely.
Vehicle
Vehicles combine empty APCs, IFVs and Tank hunters

1.MT-LB SHTURM-S
The MT-LB SHTURM-S is a lightly armored tank hunter that carries enough ammo for one match and wont explode from the first mortar hit. Hide it behind your tanks and micro manage it to target the enemies MBTs and other heavily armored units. I advice buying 4 for maximum killing power.
Be sure to keep it away from enemy artillery fire and use its great maximum range.

2.UAZ-469 SPG-9 -> ♥♥♥♥♥ -> KONKURS
Has worse accuracy than the MT-LB SHTURM-S, but less than half the price. There are 2 major drawbacks however:
1.Only 4 ATGM per vehicle, so after 4 shots you have to ressuply.
2.No armor at all. A Mortar round looks at this vehicle from 20 yards away and its dead.
But you can easily buy 8 of these and hide them behind a hill. Its a great way to lure an enemy into a trap. It seems like you only have light tanks so he attacks with heavy tanks and suddenly he is greated by 8 ATGMS flying his way. Even if a tank survives the first volley, they will suffer moral damage because of the ATGMs AP power.

3.BMP-2 -> 2D -> 2obr1986
For 50CP you get an ATGM carrier with an Autocannon. A nice fire support unit that comes in handy against every kind of target.

4.BTR-70 ZHALO
Another of "Ribar"s recommendations: Cheap (20CP) and deadly against light vehicles. It doesnt hurt to loose them so put them in front of your army and have them shield your more valuable units from cheap spam
Helicopters
Helicopters are very vulnerable to AAA and since any decent player will field a variety of AAA units they almost never earn the points that they cost. However there are some situations when they are useful, such as a flank attack without AAA coverage or an enemy attack that exceeds their AAA cover. For these tasks a cheap helicopter is often sufficient however and especially when learning helicopter game play it doesn't hurt as much when losing a cheap unit.

1.Mi-24a LSK
The Mi-24a LSK fulfills almost all your air support needs. An area attack from 4 Mi-24a LSK will stop any flank attack with light vehicles and they are still quick enough to respond anywhere fast. Also if you feel lucky you can sneak around the back and try to kill some CVs.
Another application of the Mi-24a LSK is at match start, when you race your opponent for a good position in the middle of the map have some Mi-24a LSK wait for his convoy on the main road and delay them. Your Helicopter (lets say 2 for 90$) will die, but that is often worth the head start when you get to a fortified position before him.

Matt. You have to play in campaining missions and after every missions you receiving stars. This stars will help you to unlock any unit you want. You can play the same mission to collect more stars. I did that. I think this would work.

What about Mi-28, T-55AM?
General Götterspeise 12 Apr, 2013 @ 9:39am
Oh, and take the DANA, even tho the malka is effective, its slow and cant use the cannon with direct fire, and the DANA ist better armoured and shoots faster, for only 10 points more, I believe, and because its pretty accurate, you dont need high HE.
General Götterspeise 12 Apr, 2013 @ 9:36am
I recommend the T64b and the T72b, you dont need the T80U, it cost way too much, and adds only minor effectiveness to your army, also, in case of infantry, leave the motrostrelki and take Vsadkari, or how thetre called, pretty effective, very low cost, and instead of the motostelci, which are nly 5 Men, take the Mot Schuetzen with Spw 60pb, cheap and extremely effective.
Aloha  [author] 12 Apr, 2013 @ 9:29am
Well first of all in the right army you can use the full potential of the T80U. NATO has a different doctrine from PACT of course s you cannt really critizice a PACT tank for not matching NATO doctrine.
So either you can propose a better PACT setup or Im going to delete this discussion because it adds nothing of value
General Götterspeise 12 Apr, 2013 @ 8:08am
Sadly, some people seem to desperately love the T80U, but it is just a waste of money, except you are planning to cowardly hide your precious tank in woods, firing rockets, and not using what`s left of this tanks potential, till it gets artyd and then meets the gun af a Leo or the Tow of a NATO unit...
Aloha  [author] 12 Apr, 2013 @ 7:24am
Well no tank outguns the T80U since it carries more than only a gun. Also the any heavy tank needs micromanagement, so "because it has only 3 Rockets, waste them on cheap units, and youll lose Gunfights against same class tanks" ...no.
Outflanking is more down to the player, so congratz the NATO tank is better at running away.
