Musket and Pike is a 1973 simulation of the art of warfare in Europe from the introduction of manageable individual-man firearms to the introduction of the socket bayonet in the late Seventeenth Century. The game presents the tactics and possible results of many of these battles during this period. These battles are shown as scenarios giving a mix of units which are moved and engage in combat on the mapsheet. Designed by John M. Young Jr.
Re-designed counters and new 4-color map.

Hey עגל הזהב (Golden Calf) I'm more of a librarian/archivist, but there are a couple of TTS war gamer groups that play these games, leave note on sites to make contact.:spacemarinecrosshair:

Hey jpsherfy,
I highlight the piece in the stack and hit ALT which displays the picture, run the cursor up and down, and see the whole stack. Hope that helps...:1775crossswords:

So is there an easier way to find out what is stacked in a hex? I have pulled out my old game and was setting up the second scenario. I was going to play solo and then my cat got involved and destroyed both armies. Guess that proves the worth of this. It would be nice to find someone to actually try playing this game.

Hey jpsherfy,
Yeah, you just copy and paste as many as needed. CTL-C to copy , and CTL-V to paste.:spacemarinecrosshair:

Sorry I am confused but it appears that you have made one of each type of unit. So when I want to set up and play a game how to I populate the game board with the appropriate units as per the instructions? I was thinking that I copy a unit and then paste it to a hex but I am not having luck with this. If I need 10 of a unit it would seem logical to copy the unit and then paste it 10 times to the board. What am I missing htere?

Hi jpsherfy, it's just as you state it...you can also play with others using the multi-player game that sets up turns and sides etc. as stated in TTS's rules, have fun!:dicemiss:

So this is all new to me. I have many SPI games that I bought in the 70's and 80's including this one. So couldn't resist buying this software (TTS) to take a look at it. Now so how does this module work in terms of setting up each scenario. I guess you review the instructions pick the units up and place them on the map as provided and then play?
