Info & start
The game is not of unbeatable difficulty, however if you know some stuff before diving into this world, you can survive longer.

Starting Questions
At the very beginning you get 3 questions. These are to determine what weapons you get from the start and each answer has an influence on your stats. I don't go in depth on these (yet) 'cause they are kinda self-explanatory about the role you choose to play.

You just have to answer honestly or according to your role. If you end up without a weapon, don't worry. You'll find plenty once you leave the inn. (or use a beermug from the inn, best weapon ever Am I Right?)

Saving & dying
You can save your game by sleeping in a bed or bedroll. This bed will now be your respawnpoint untill you sleep someplace else and it will also be your startingpoint if you quit.

If you die you will respawn at your bed and:
  • You'll keep all your experience gained
  • You'll keep all your items
  • You'll have to walk the whole distance again
  • Your weapons will be 5% degraded
  • you might spawn near bandits if you slept in a bandit's bed!

Sleeping in a cave, what could possibly go wrong...

Quests
People related to a quest will most likely be jumping and waving at you. Don't be blind and leave them waiting like that!

Looting
Don't forget to open and bash crates!
Bashing barrels an smashing vases is easy, but don't forget to look in boxes. You can get the lid of by grabing it by richtclicking it and then pulling it away.

cooking
Just trow stuff into the fire. How hard can it be?

I Feel like a caveman.
Crafting
crafting
The game itself explains this to you at a certain point. However, you can craft stuff almost right from the beginning. The crafting menu is located next to your “gear” tab.

When near a sawmill you can break stuff down to scrap (there is one in the inn’s basement). A lot of useful stuff can be made from this scrap such as vials, arrows or even a rope gun.
Potions and such
Knowing how to craft is necessary for the next part. You can find a lot of wine, liquor and potions in the inn. All these glass recipients can be broken down in “glass scrap”. This can be used to craft a glass vial.

You can fill this empty vial by dropping it into water. Water is almost everywhere in the game and can be used to heal. This can be very helpful if you ran out of healing potions or food. Having 5-7 extra vials from the beginning can help you a great deal at the lowest level.

How much did I need again?

You will level up quick and then those vials can be used for mana or health potions.
  • normal health potion = 1 red mushroom + 1 water vial
  • greater heath potion = 2 red mushrooms + 1 water vial
  • normal mana potion = 1 blue mushroom 1 water vial
  • greater mana potion = 2 blue mushrooms + 1 water vial
Repairing
Repairing is strange but simple. You just hit your equipment with a hammer. Be sure not to drop your gear next to a sawmill! You will destroy it (been there; done that).

Leveling up
You level up by gaining experience. How to do this is easy (kiil all dem monsters). What to do with the points is another question. It is straight-forward though and ejoyable simple.

The attributes do not really do that much. You have to watch out for your skills instead! If you have a magic attribute of 4, your magical weapons skill won't be able to go further than 4. It is not a big deal but it can hinder you.

In-Game you can check what is connected by hovering over the skill with your cursor. The connected skill/attribute will be highlighted.
Closing thoughts
From now on the game will be up to you to discover. Don’t be afraid to go outside. And if it’s too dark for your likings, grab a lantern or a torch.

Achievements & Arena
The game has 10 achievements. All of these can be unlocked by one playthrough and aren’t that hard to do.

SHTOIIIING

This is the difficult one because of the aim required for it. It is difficult to know the exact distance and the angle needed to hit. For me it worked by shooting at the wolf next to the tree. Here you can see it at the left in the distance. This Is the area right out the sewers.

Pirate’s life’s not for me

Talk to this dude on the beach and have a nice chat with him.

Tomb Raiding

Enter this tomb next to the bandits camp. Kill everything. Ask questions later. Done.

Myrne’s Gifted

Enter the house on the hill near the encampment. Explore the basement. You will discover this sarcophagus. If you are able to open it you will unlock this achievement. You will need a magic skill of 8. This skill can be boosted with a mage’s hat for (+2 magic).

Bookworm

Literally (pun intended) the description. All the unique books with text like the one in this picture will count. I recommend reading the books completely since most of them are funny, the others are with usefull information.

KA-BOOM

Or known as Yippee ki-yay, mother******. This not as easy as you would expect since it has to be monsters and not bandits. Those monsters mostly fight alone. However, if you approach a spider-egg-sack 4 little spiders will come out. Be sure to aim well so you don’t kill yourself in the blast.
Note: It won’t work by trowing an explosive at the sack ‘cause the sack won’t break by the explosion.

So strong

This achievement needs some build up because you need to get to level 10 or so. The sarcophagus is located in the chapel's basement and you need 12 strength to open it. It got some nice loot inside.

Arena Survivor

The player get this achievement upon defeating all enemies and thus regaining your freedom.
You have to fight 5 rounds of enemies to do so:
  1. 2 bats and Spitty
  2. 2 bandits
  3. 4 slimes and 1 bandit
  4. 1 Wolf
  5. 7 chickens
I personally think the enemies are a good match. If you use good tactics (like blowing them up, right) you should do fairly well.
Be carefull with explosions 'cause it's a small room and you might get caught in the blast.

I had a blast playing this

Don't forget that you can fill your vials in the water in the combat-chamber (while fighting!) So I recommend to use your first 8 gold for a health potion.

Arena Champion

This achievement gets unlocked if you manage to beat The Arena under 2 minutes. It can be done but you best not linger. You can chill in the weapon-chamber/cellblock since the timer only counts while fighting.

Now you can return to the main menu and start endangering Myrne's inhabitants and wildlife again

Card Collector

There are 7 card to be found. This is the most difficult because most of them are hidden very well. You can easily miss a few. In my experience you just need to have had the cards in your possession. You don't need to have them all at once or with one character.

I will only post a picture without describing the exact location. You have to get your own brain working on this too!!
  1. The Mage

  2. The Archer

  3. The Knight

  4. The Farmer

  5. The Sorcerer

  6. The Frog

  7. The Chicken
Conclusion
If you found a typo or error in this guide, Let me know. It is appreciated. I ate some of the mushrooms on the way and now I taste colours. Dropping a like is also appreciated.

Questions about dungeons are welcome as well, but I'm conviced you should think about them and not get the solution so easy from a guide ;)

All pictures are screenshot from the game during several playthroughs.

Good stuff.

Your advice in the arena to buy a Health Potion ASAP was really helpful.

After that, I bought a Crystal Staff: Fireball and got both Arena achievements! :)

The last time I checked (and AFAIK) the Dev himself said it is part of the decor/environment and meant to be locked. If that changes I will let you know :)
