1.You get a lot of souls (sometimes insane;y more than you will ever get from grinding NPCs).
2.You contribute to the community/help keep it alive
3.You get better at the game since pvping definitely crosses over and makes you better at PvE as well.
4. You have more fun. Unless you're some weirdo who liked killing the same mobs over and over or you're somebody who totally wrote pvp off and are keeping yourself mentally caged/ignorant preventing yourself from taking part in and enjoying it.
This is how I level all my chars now since it's simply funner.
A tip: you may not be invading at the right area for your level so you will need to learn the sweet spots for invasions area by area and their corresponding average soul level for best results.
after dispatching with the pinwheel clones you just jump down with your drop and souls boosts, here you can destroy mini-skeleton as long as you got estus, they are quite slow and weak but their hitbox is small, a vertical moveset weapon is ideal
in this place you have almost unlimited souls (but i'd advice putting on qymbol of avarice to get maximum souls and then you have a 20 estus time limit) AND humanity, since the small skeleton drop them
be quick to pick them up, cause repoping skeletons sometimes make loot disappear
