Rubick is a very situational support who relies heavily on positioning himself in order to steal the best spells to turn teamfights and small skirmishes in his teams favor. his frail stats throughout the game make him rely on staying back from fights and not be caught out before fights begin, however, Rubick's abilities allow him to be a great lane support while also a decent rotating support in the early game and needs little to no items to do so but playing as a safe lane support he does not normally get the items he needs to effective in the midgame.
