Mauri, >7 means greater than 7, and <7 means less than 7

I have a difficulty to understand the meaning with >7 <7. which one mean "more than 7" and "less than 7"

I don't quite understand the "I thought we were friends" one, how you get killed by him with 7 or more affinity of having that much affinity is what put you on his route?
