Surving the First Night
So, you've started your game and wish to survive and thrive. Well first, go collect. The gameplay is simple and like Don't Starve (as I've been told).

To collect stuff, press and hold E. Your character will then go around and grab the nearest item that can be collect (Note: the radius for this action is not infinite). I recommend collection as many twigs,

flint,

and green herbs as you can find.

Next crafting; Press C to open your crafting menu. There you will want to click on the Equipment section and craft three things: an axe, a shovel, and a pickaxe.

To use your new tools you need to press I to open your inventory, click and drag each tool into your hotbar down at the bottom of your screen. I recommend putting them in slots 2-4. Press the number keys that the tools is in to select it and press E to use it (like collecting). Axes are used for chopping trees, shovels for shoveling snow, plants, and stumps, and pickaxes for mining stone, iron ore, and ice. Don't forget to pick up everything after you mine it!

Once you've collected some resources, craft a stick. It's the in the weapons and equipment tab (First tab). With this stick, you hold the power to smite... efficiency aside. Put this in your first slot. Your first slot should be the one highlighted in blue. This allows the item to be used by left clicking. If your blue spot is moved, you most likely rolled the scroll wheel. Use the scroll wheel to move the highlight around in your toolbar. Again, I recommend keeping it in the first tab where your primary weapon is (tools such as an axe, shovel, etc. cannot be used for melee).

Now you're ready to survive your first night.
Fight for Survival
Once night has fallen your first enemy will apper; a nightmare.
Don't be afraid of the little guy, just whip out your stick... erm..unsheathe your.... uhm... just pull it out. Now whack the little cutie till he pops.

Now, you might notice the little pieces of paper these guys are dropping. Pick them up using E. Other than the quest item, all should be a recipe. Drag one from your inventory (I) into your hotbar, then just press the corresponding number. Your character will read them and now you will be able to craft whatever the recipe gave.

Pay attention to the required materials, collect them, and then craft. Your priority should be the weapons and equipment, i.e. swords, shields, and armor. Bows and arrows are optional. If they require a workbench, go the the Old Man's house. Inside, he has one next to the bed.

Now that you're an experienced fighter with a... stick, replace your stick in the hotbar with a sword (after crafting one of course). Next, after crafting both armor and a shield, open your inventory, click and drag your armor into the middle slot on the right side of the inventory. That is your amor slot. Place your shield in the one next to it, your shield slot, and your sword in the left. Now, when your sword is equiped, you can also block with right clicking. Go and practice on some slimes.

Found them there already but it's kind of sad that there is no oficial outside file like minecraft has for example for us to just go and get the sprites that we need without use of wiki or whatever
