1) First open up run using the Windows Key + R. Then type gpedit.msc in Run. Should appear like this:



2) Then you will open up Group Policy. Then go in the following folders:

3) Highlight QoS Packet Scheduler then you should get something like this.



4) Double-Click (or Open) Limit reservable bandwidth

5) You should be in Limit reservable bandwidth Properties. Make sure its state is Enable. Then change Bandwidth limit (%) to 0.

6) Then click OK and you're done.

2) Insert this code in the notepad. (DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO IT)

3) Save it as a .reg and make sure Save as type: All Files (*.*)



4) You'll get this message pop up, and click OK.



Explanation: This will increase the Cache of DNS size to improve signaling between the server and the PC; thus, lowering your ping.

2) Open system.ini and a blank notepad will appear. (Replace contents in the blank notepad in Step 3)

3) Insert this code in system.ini. (DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING IN THIS CODE

4) Then Save and Restart your PC to get noticable changes.

2) Make sure View by: Category. Then go to Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center. It should look like this:



3) Click on your Wi-Fi. (Example: Mine would be Wi-Fi (CenturyLink9478))

4) Wi-Fi Status should pop up. From there, you want to click Properties.



5) A second window will pop up. In there, you want to highlight Internet Protocl Version 4 (TCP/IpV4) and go to Properties. It should look like this:



6) A third window will pop up. Change from Obtain DNS server address automatically to Use the following DNS server address:. Put the codes in each section.

Preferred DNS server: Alternate DNS server:

7) Click OK and Exit all of the windows.

Explanation: The Domain Name System (DNS) protocol is an important part of the web's infrastructure, serving as the Internet's phone book: every time you visit a website, your computer performs a DNS lookup. Complex pages often require multiple DNS lookups before they start loading, so your computer may be performing hundreds of lookups a day.

2) Click Device Manager and open it. Then open theNetwork Adapters list and select Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz). Your screen should look like this:



3) Open Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz). Go to Advanced and select 802.11n Bandwidth. Then under Value:, change 20MHz Only to 20MHz/40MHz Auto. It should look like this:



4) Click OK and you're done.
