Sorry for writing this guide under RtCW. i cant find Wolfenstein 2009 on steam, so im writing this guide here, hoping someone in need to find this.

Wolfenstein 2009 locks FPS at 60. it was ok back then, but 60 fps looks horrible on modern pc with high refresh rate monitor.

here is how to unlock frame cap.

1. go to

%personal file folder \ AppData \ Local \ id Software \ WolfSP \ base \

2. open wolf.cfg file with text editor

3. add the line

seta com_userCommandHz "144"

4. save and play the game.

easy and simple, yet 144 FPS makes the game looking fantastic.

enjoy.


PS. i tested this on my retail package version of Wolfenstein. i dont own steam version wolfenstein, so i dont know whether there is any difference.

Thanks, this still works to this day. You can still find this game too if you look btw if anyone is interested. I wont link directly to it as Steam can be a bit weird but you know how to search and this is where I found this classic from my past that I found I cant buy anymore. https://www.myabandonware.com/browse/platform/windows/

Thanks, it works! NOTE: you need to do this AFTER you exit the game, otherwise nothing will work!

It may be a late comment but i have a friend who is currently playing the game on a 240hz monitor. This WORKS for him.

As mentioned in the guide , go to AppData / Local / id Software / WolfSP / base , into the wolf.cfg file and just insert the line seta com_userCommandHz "240" .

anybody know where/ how to play a copy of the 2009 vers? i grew up with 2001/2002, and have never even seen/ played the 2009 super curious for nostalgic reasons :') would appreciate any help; tks
