General tips
Currently i got the videos done to act 3. All five skulled and i'll be upping them to youtube a.s.a.p/updating this guide.

The first few levels i don't use the best traps available, i like to challenge myself and battle the ogres. On later levels it's impossible because of time limits/hordes. So there are better ways to deal with the first few levels.

Always be prepared for the ogres with money in the bank for the mushroom trap, and carry it with you always, especially on the later levels! Don't waste your time trying to kill them, especially on nightmare. Let the orcs do that for you.

Use the lightning ring! It's especially useful with hordes of kobolds/those little flying dudes since the bolt that comes from the original hit never misses and it kills those little ones with one hit. They're annoying to manually target with the crossbow, but with the lightning ring... they're quickly dealt with.
ACT I
Act one is pretty simple for most part. Couple levels that might prove to be a bit tricky

The hallway

Very simple to start with, the choke point is easy to defend. stun the ogre and hit him with your sword. Nothing to see in here, ONWARD!

The fork

Another choke point available, if you want you can add the wall blades here for easier time, i wanted to fight myself.

The corner

Collect some extra coins with the coinforge, and do a chokepoint right under the bridge.

The baths

Another chokepoint simulator.

The runner's alley

Things get up a notch. Don't waste money on the first bridge's defenses. You're better of fortifying the first bridge and making a deathtrap in there.

The overpass

Use the wind belt to push orcs into the acid pools, and start putting spring traps everywhere as soon as possible. I used the fire furnace's at the beginning, but they aren't really necesary. Make sure to save up money for the upgrade that also affects ogres to get rid of them really fast.

Twin halls

This is easy peasy after first two waves! Just put springs traps everywhere! Save money for the ogre upgrade as soon as possible and just watch them fly. If someone escapes, you can quickly run to him, and waste that lonely orc.

Lunch break

Now this is the first real hard level where we must pay attention. Start by taking the upgrade where trap kills give more coins, put two spike walls behind you and collect as much money as possible.

When the thirs wave starts, waste the bridge orcs a.s.a.p, you have to be at the choke point at the top of the stairs since it's not ready yet. Keep blasting tar trap and spike walls everywhere. I chose tar pits all the way instead of coal + tars because they need to be kept under control. If they get past the chokepoint, they run in every directions. When the ogres come, make sure you got mushroom. they cannot be easily killed while keeping orcs off the rift.

The stream

After a hectic level, this is a nice change of pace and introduction to the flying enemies. Make a chokepoint near the second gate, and stuff the sides with archers. Level done.

Sludge hole

Final level of chapter 1! This is pretty much running back and forth. If the orcs get too far, they will divide into two directions, and it becomes impossible to defend the rifts. Try to do as much DoT as possible right at the start of the route, but remember not to spend everything, since you need mushroom for the ogres that come on the final levels.
ACT II
Chaos chamber

Set up a barricade of archers shooting both platforms, but keep an eye out for anything fast moving on the minimap, it's either kobold or a really dangerous knoll hunter(s) that will do short work of your archers and ruin the whole level.

Put tar traps on the platforms with smoking coals and you get yourself a proper death trap. Save some money in the bank for mushrooms to deal with the ogres.

Chokepoint

This one is really simple, though the massive amount of orcs might sometimes keep you busy. Start by trapping the bridge and proceed inwards towards the doors.

The Arena

Take all the trap related bonuses right away. You'll be needing a lot of spike wall traps on this one. After you'we spike walled the main locations, start adding burning coals and tar traps to really wreak havoc and kill those orcs before they even get a chance to advance.

The balcony

Nothing special to mention in this level. Surprisingly easy.

The tower

This is the first stage where the time limit for 5 skulls is easy to exceed!

The main chokepoint in here is right outside the second gate. And the whole walkway is eventually going to be the trap, start by building from the gate outwards. Spikes to the walls and tars + coal to the floors.
Save the logs for the ogre mobs near the end of the level, and once they're used to counter the first patches. Then start mushrooming the upper walkway to quickly deal with them, otherwise, you won't have enough time to get the 5 skulls.

The library

Set up the winging mace and tar traps underneath it, take the bonus coins from trap kills skills. Wave 3 brings an ogre from the other gate, counter it with the mushroom to get it to your side. help out your ogre when possible to make him last longer. Apply spike walls to the sides of the first door's route and the basic coals/tars on the ground.

The bridge

Flying orcs! Again! Set up the spring traps in the middle, throwing both ways. Make sure you have the "ogre upgrade" on wave 3 to deal with them. At wave 4 start equipping the balcony with archers.

Take the healing upgrade also as soon as possible, those firebats do a nasty damage.

Killing fields

Second chapters final level! This is a bit hectic at the start.

Make the chokepoints just before the rift. Notice that the orc's walk right next to the walls, so don't bother putting defences anywhere else. Add burning coals here and there next to the wall. They're especially effective in negating the kobold runners at the third wave.

After 4 wave, start building outwards from the chokepoint, remember to save money for the mushrooms. Ogres are on the way..!
ACT III
Rebirth

Wave 4 opens up a new gate, as does wave 5. Try to get everyone crushed by the mace. Those can't be revived anymore, saving you trouble from killing them again. You can't resurrect something that is in thousand pieces all around :D Feel free to use the fire and acid pot as much as you want, they spawn pretty fast.

Gateway]

Surprisingly simple level for a third chapter stage. Lots of room to build spring traps to, and a balcony where to set your archers.

A Hard climb

Three guardians per side are enough if they have the stun attack. Take extra caution with the archer-orcs in the second wave, they don't stop to fight, they just run to the rift. Try to take as many of them out as possible before they reach the stairs.

After that start filling the balcony with the archers, flyers are plenty in this level. After the balcony is secure, start adding traps to the routes.

Stairs of doom

Easy peasy!

The squeeze

Two good chokepoints that kill pretty much everyone. Add archers to take on the flyers and just watch the orcs fall.

Finale

There's a couple tricky things in this level. Spike walls to everywhere! After that tar traps, and paladins only after the wave where those exploding dudes come. Wave 5, deal with the two ogres with the ballista, and lightning ring those archers after them Dodge them yourself by climbing the stairs and jumping to safety. take extra care with the archers on wave 8!

They will go past your paladins into the rift. Hunt them down a.s.a.p. Save money on mushrooms on the final wave to get rid of the orcs very quickly. Saving money is not an issue if you follow my trap placements and deal with the majority of orcs yourself in the beginning.
